We Search. We Find. We ShopStyle.

Okay - let's talk shop for a minute.. online shopping that is! I mean if it were an Olympic sport, I'd definitely be the front runner for team USA. Not only am I a bargain shopper, but I genuinely get a thrill out of hunting down a product. This is where PopSugar's ShopStyle comes in!

ShopStyle is a fashion based search engine that helps you locate any item you're looking for whether it's a pair of pink floral print trousers or sequin heels. So when they asked me to be a part of their brand new "We Search. We Find. We ShopStyle." campaign, I didn't even hesitate to say YES!

On Me: Space 46 Boutique Pink Tulle Skirt || Zara Heels (almost identical) || Michael Kors "Bradshaw" Watch || Jennifer Zeuner Nameplate Necklace || Forever 21 BAD Ring

Clockwise from Top Right:
ILY Couture Candy Color Necklace (similar) || Christian Dior "Mohotani" Cat Eye Sunglasses || Vintage Brooch || Prabal Gurung Floral Print Blazer (similar) || ILY Couture Fringe Necklace || TopShop 3D Sequin Crop Top || Sinful Colors Nail Polish || Prabal Gurung Neon Lace Up Sandal (similar) || Naven Heartthrob Dress || Banana Republic Glitter Purse (similar) || J. Crew Crystal Shimmer Earrings || Marc Jacobs Rose Gold Clutch (similar) || Express Sequin Leggings (similar) || Blu Bijoux Bangles || Vintage Owl Brooch (similar) || Vintage Sunglasses (similar) || Love Culture Transparent Clutch (similar) || Bamboo D'Orsay Flat (similar) || GiGi New York All In One Clutch || ban.do Glitter Bomb Bobbi & Heart pin || Vintage Dress (similar) || Guess Glitter Pump (similar)

I bet you can't guess what the theme for my shoot was.... (ha!) For this campaign, I was asked to showcase and style items from my personal wardrobe and closet. It's no surprise that I was inspired by the color pink & sparkles for my lay down shoot. After all, my personal motto is "Wear Something Sparkly Every Day." I think it just gives your outfit a little something extra. So with the help of my husband, we spent some time adjusting the layout and then snapping some photos (shout out to him for being such a great sport!) on Sunday afternoon. Here's the finished product!

One of my favorite features of ShopStyle is that even if the specific item you're searching for is sold out, it will still recommend similar items to ensure that your shopping fix is cured. They also have an app for easy on-the-go purchases. For a bit more detail about how to use ShopStyle, check out the video below with their new spokesperson Miranda Kerr! Happy Shopping!

Valentine's Day Wish List with Belk

Valentine's Day Wish List with Belk

MAC Lipstick in shades Candy Yum Yum & Dangerous || Belk & CoSimulated Ruby & CZ Stud Earrings || BCBGeneration True Love Affirmation Bracelet ||  Vince Camuto "Mila" Cross Body Bag || Badgley Mischka "Dixi" Glitter Pumps || Michael Kors Charcoal & Pink "Everest" Watch || Butter London Nail Polish in Fairy Lights & The Black Knight || Hanes Confetti Dot Tights || Belk & Co. 14K Rose Gold Pink Amethyst & Diamond Ring (aaaaaaahhhh!)

Here are just a few items from Belk that are currently on my Valentine's Wish List. Most of them are pieces that I would wear on or for date night, so it only seems natural to receive them on one of the biggest days of love! Here are just a few ways I'd style these must have gifts:

I'm dreaming of those confetti tights underneath a puffy tulle skirt. Pair that with the gold glitter pumps and you've basically got yourself the epitome of a girly girl's dream! I really love the BCBGeneration Affirmation bracelets too. Did you know that you can custom create your own with letters and symbols? How brilliant is that?!

It's very rare that I leave the house without nail polish or lipstick. I think it makes me feel like my outfit is "finished" even if I'm just running errands in yoga pants and sneakers. I've been spying everyone wearing the MAC Candy Yum Yum so I think it's high time I add it to my collection. Butter's "The Black Knight" nail polish would be so sexy on your toes - black with glimmers of purple, pink & silver shine? Super pretty!

I have to be honest - I never usually ask for jewelry for any kind of holiday (birthday, anniversary etc..) but when I set my eyes on this Pink Amethyst & Diamond ring, it literally made my heart skip a beat. The fact that it's wrapped in Rose Gold is pure icing on the cake! And yes, while it is most definitely is a splurge, it's not as expensive as you think ;)

So head on over to Belk.com and create your very own V-day wish list. Then send it to your sweetie. Tweet at @Belk & myself to let us know what you choose using the hashtag #BelkValentine. We can't wait to see what you pick!

Outfit Post: She's Gone Country

Judith March Fringe Skirt, Embroidered Chambray Button Up & Belt borrowed from The Impeccable Pig
Sole Society "Natalya" Mini Cross Body c/o & "Heather" Wedge Booties (old - similiar option)
Michael Kors "Bradshaw" Watch || J. Crew Pave Link Bracelet || Julie Vos Grande Soho Necklace c/o LuckyFABB || Blu Bijoux Pearl Bangles c/o Max & Chloe

When The Impeccable Pig's Cameron Village location asked me to come by and style some of their new arrivals I couldn't get my feet in the door fast enough. As one of my favorite stores probably ever and most definitely in the Raleigh area, I don't think I could have survived our cross country move without it! Everything in the store is totally wearable and budget friendly. It's the kind of place I could spend hours in. Plus the girls are so incredibly sweet! Love them!

Now, we all know I am a city girl through and through (and if you didn't well now you do!) but imagine my surprise when Leah, the manager, showed me this Judith March skirt while I was browsing the racks. Let me just tell you, I surprised myself by how much I fell in love with it. One swing of the fringey pieces and the next thing I knew, I was asking for a chambray shirt and running a total city-girl-meets-the-country moment in my head. Don't ask my why, but it would be safe to say the skirt has special powers. I most definitely noticed an extra sassy step in my walk when I came out of the dressing room.

Either way, I wanted to keep the vibe true to my style. Through layers of gold jewelry, messy hair and a chic wedge bootie, my country inspired look was much more city girl-esque. Yay! Plus I think this skirt would be a fantastic transitional piece from winter into spring. Imagine it with brown tights and riding boots now.. and then later with a chic sandal and neon tank for summer! So fun, right? Sometimes there's nothing like a great outfit to perk up a Monday morning!

Valentine's Day is quickly approaching which means it's time to start planning your outfit! V-Day is one of those holidays that you either love or hate. I was never really the biggest fan of the hoopla. I'm not exactly what you would call a romantic... But now we enjoy it because we decide the best way for us to celebrate. So that could mean going to a movie, eating a fancy dinner or even sharing a bottle of bubbly and hanging out at the house. One year I even watched scary movies with my girlfriends - now that was a good one :)  Valentine's Day is what you decide to make of it!

So here are 3 ways for you it. Whether it's a casual affair, dinner after work or an all out Valentine's celebration you can party in many different outfits. I love a good casual boyfriend jean but neon pink heels give the outfit a feminine twist. And if you're a working gal, you might not have time to change before meeting your sweetie out. Which is why adding red tights to your office appropriate black and white ensemble creates instant Valentine's Day flair. I personally just received this Space 46 Boutique tulle skirt in hot pink and I can't wait to wear it. If I were going to go all out this year, this is my idea of a perfect V-day look. Right down to the lariat necklace & gorgeous DaisyGem sequin clutch. You can also use the Daisy Gem Promo Code BEDA15 for 15% off your entire order!

So what are your Valentine's day plans? But more importantly, what the heck are you wearing?! :) xo

Outfit Post: Sequin Kimono

AG Jeans V-Neck Pocket Tee gifted via LuckyFABB
LuLu's Black Sequin Kimono c/o (on sale!)
Zara Studded Back Booties (sold out - almost identical option here and on sale!!)
GiGi New York All In One Clutch
Necklace gifted (super similar) || J. Crew Classic Pave Link Bracelet || Caravelle by Bulova Rose Gold Watch c/o LuckyFABB (similar option)

Hello - I'm back :) Thanks for your patience while I took a little break away from BAD. I wanted to re-evaluate the blog and make sure it was continuing in the direction I wanted it to go. I also wanted to see if I would miss it - and I did. So thankfully it was still here waiting for me. It probably also didn't help that our temperatures were dipping into the single digits here in NC. That really doesn't make for shooting puffy jackets and pom-pom caps.

I've always admired kimonos from afar but hadn't really taken the plunge until recently. Now I can't get enough of them! I love that this one has glittering sequin sleeves but LuLu's has a whole bevy of kimono options from fringe detail to prints to all over lace. It's fun to dress them up but sometimes a gal just needs a white tee and booties.

It's Friday and even though the weekend is upon us, I plan on spending it with my nose either in my laptop or reading Blog Inc. TGIF my friends!

2013 Outfits in Review

One || Two || Three || Four
Five || Six || Seven || Eight

I kind of gotta be honest.. I'm not sad to see 2013 go. Although it was a big year for BAD and for myself.. it was definitely one of my most challenging years yet. We had a major cross country move and that just kind of shook up a lot of emotions in me.

Thankfully, it was a good year for outfits! I've rounded up a few of my favorites and looking back at them is kind of inspiring for 2014! I'm REALLY excited for this year and all it is going to bring. Let's do this 2-0-1-4!
