Summer Smooth Legs with Veet

How to get smooth legs with the best hair removal
The Real Results after using Veet Gel Cream Hair Remover! Get outfit deets on tomorrow's post!

With the summer temps reaching well over 90 degrees here in NC, it's officially the season of smoothness! I have to admit I'm a smooth-aholic. So when Veet asked me to review their Gel Cream Hair Remover and share some of my favorite ways to beat the summer heat, I jumped at the chance. Before we get into my experience with Veet, let's discuss some of my favorite tips and tricks for summer survival:

Definition of HACK:
3 a : to manage successfully

Here's my top 4 Summer Hacks:

How To Make Water Taste Better - Raspberry Fruit Water

Hydrate!
I feel like Coke and Summertime just go hand-and-hand. During the sweltering days I could down can after cold can. But we all know that's not great for the bikini bod. Enter my solution: Fruit Water. I fill a larger glass (in this case a mason jar) with ice water and whatever fruit I'm craving. Usually it's raspberries or slices of lemon and lime. It gives the water a ton of flavor and makes downing glass after glass a breeze.

Moisturizing Sun Care
I try not to leave the house without SPF - even in the winter! Although you may not be spending your Monday through Friday laying out, your skin still needs to be protected. My everyday body lotion and facial moisturizer both have SPF that not only fights UV rays but also keeps my skin moisturized.

Floral Print Pink Sole Society Sunglasses

Cute Sunglasses
My sunglasses collection is growing by the season. Why? It's one of my favorite ways to accessorize an outfit. But in addition to looking good, your sunnies need to have UV protection. Not only for those sensitive areas around your eyes but also for your eyes themselves! How fab are these floral ones!?

Veet Fast Acting Gel Cream Hair Removal Review

Hair Removal
I think we feel our best during the summer when our skin is smooth and hair free, right? Let's face it, hair removal can sometimes be a chore. I personally dread the shaving of the legs. So I was pretty skeptical of testing out the new Veet Fast Acting Gel Cream and it actually working. But after reading the directions I realized how easy this was going to be.

After slathering on the cream, I sat on the edge of my bathtub for about 8-10 minutes (I have dark coarse hair) and read a book while I waited for the magic to happen. I'll be honest I didn't love the smell but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be.

After 10 minutes, I used the handy dandy tool to remove the cream and was actually surprised to find... smooth legs!

I think I need to work on my timing a little bit, the 2nd leg had a few stragglers compared to the 1st one. But overall, I was happy with the results *Pro Tip: Use the smaller edge for harder to reach places like your ankles and knees* An additional bonus? I didn't have to waste all that water I usually would when shaving in the shower! Saving the earth, one hair removal at a time!

Have you guys used Veet before? What was your experience? Also what are your favorite Summer Hacks? Leave them in the comments below so I can try them! Happy Monday! Oh and come back tomorrow for outfit shots of my "after" Veet experience!

My Sun Tan City

I must admit something: I love to be tan. There's something about it that makes clothes fit better, hair color brighter, body problem areas more toned... come on, we all know the feeling right?!

But as I'm getting older, I'm trying to be smarter about my sun exposure. I wear sunscreen regularly, sometimes choose to sit under an umbrella at the beach and check my body regularly for any weird spots. Don't get me wrong, I still love a good day of laying out. But since we've moved out of the apartment and into the house, we've lost access to a pool! Which means less sun time. Which means more paleness.

See..? Neon and a Tan go together like Peas and Carrots
The Impeccable Pig Dress (similar) || GiGi New York Clutch || Similar Pumps

Enter Sun Tan City. When they contacted me a few weeks ago about becoming a partner I couldn't have been more excited! As some of you know from Twitter, I had my first Spray Tan experience on Monday. It was delightful but more on that later....

I wanted to share with you first about the new program STC is launching called: My Sun Tan City. It's this amazing online tool that let's you schedule your place in line so you're not stuck waiting at the salon. Think of it like "Call Ahead Seating" for spray tans (can someone say genius?!). In this day and age of "busyness" it's nice to have one less "wait time" scheduled into your calendar.

Join us online as we celebrate the launch of MySunTanCity.com! Contact your local Sun Tan City!

They're also developing a mobile app for on the go scheduling (like on your lunch break or before the end of a crazy work day) Both the site and the soon-to-be released app allow you check wait times, look at past formulas/combos you've done and make going to the salon a quick and easy process.

You can even upgrade your packages - right from your laptop or mobile phone. Don't worry if you're not already a member of SunTanCity, you can still join (for free!) by visiting the register page. Just enter in your info and boom! You can start tanning!

Okay enough of me blabbering.. What are you waiting for? Your sunless tan is awaiting you!

You guys.. slouchy pants are my new jam! I have these pants in neon already (that outfit is here) but I just discovered they come in polka dots AND floral print!! When I was strolling through Target last weekend, I spotted this pair on the clearance rack - they were 4 bucks! As I previously mentioned they are kids's size but I still love them. {I'm wearing an XL}

One of my favorite parts of blogging is discovering do-gooder brands like Half United. I'm wearing the Jasmine Necklace which supplies over 12 meals to children! Let me explain... Half United actually donates HALF of all their profits to fight against hunger both here in the U.S. and around the world. They've got the most amazing jewelry, made from bullet shells/casing in hopes of having your jewelry be not only a conversation starter, but turns something negative into a positive. In fact every time I've worn this piece, someone notices it and mentions it. You've got check out more styles below. You'll not only look good but FEEL good about giving back. So let me ask you.. how will you #DoYourHalf?!

Happy Hump Day lovelies!! xo
