Yes, I know! More hats and sweaters. The temperatures this weekend dropped to the lower 20's (ahhh!) so this outfit was just perfect for a day in the upper 40's. I can't believe that we're 2 days out from April and we've still got winter temperatures. Thankfully, I've got something that will brighten your Monday up - a giveaway! Yes, please!

Outfit Post: Spring Camo

We're in that awkward in between weather stage right now. It's technically spring but the temperatures haven't quite gotten there yet. Cool mornings and evenings but warm afternoons call for layering. Lots of layering! I've been wearing my camouflage jacket nonstop. It goes with just about everything....

You guys know my love for wide brim fedoras has no end. This Sole Society one is perfect and transitions from season to season. Fall, Winter, Spring. It's one of my favorite items in my wardrobe. Plus it's perfect to cover up those crazy bad hair days.

Dresses, Jeans, Skirts - I seriously wear my camo jacket with everything! In this outfit, I mixed in a skull print scarf to keep it playful. I wish these glitter ankle boots were still available because I LIVE in them. Thanks to the printmixing, what could have just been a black-on-black casual look, just went up a few notches. How do you wear camo?

Moon And Lola Cameron Village Store Opening

A few weeks ago, Moon And Lola invited me to their media preview night before they opened their doors to the public. If there's one thing I love, it's an excuse to put on a party dress, sip cocktails and buy pretty jewelry.

The new store is absolutely beautiful. It's filled with all things girly, shiny, sparkly and of course... PINK! I love it! The girls at M&L really outdid themselves. The "Lola Loves" room (above) has to be my favorite part. Everything that owner Kelly (a.k.a. Lola) is currently obsessed with will be housed in here. I'm officially using it as inspiration for my new home office.

Here's a few more snaps from that night plus a sneak peek at my outfit that night!

These Eden cuff links are the cutest!

Popcorn with pink sprinkles and cake pops? So delicious!

Love these sunglasses with gold stamped personalization. Also the Isobel bracelets always make a great gift!

Eden Charms are one of my favorite M&L pieces. Especially the stud earrings!

Just a little something for the guys in your life! SO many cuff link options

These cute little guys were filled with PINK margaritas. Oh, yes please!

I snapped this sneak peak of my outfit on instagram. Look for it on the blog soon!

If you're in the Raleigh area, you must go check it out immediately. If not, lucky for you, Moon and Lola's online store is open 24/7!

Outfit Post: Classic With A Leopard Twist

How are we back at Monday again? The weekends are just going by too fast. Even if you do spend them in bed, eating cranberry orange muffins and watching one too many episodes on HBO Go. Oops - sorry about the crumbs Bill! Risk taking fashion is oh-so-much-fun. But let's not forget how fabulous those classic pieces can be too. The older I get, the more I appreciate a great pair of jeans or an amazing blouse. But hey, not adding a glitter boot just wouldn't be me!

I know almost all these pieces aren't available, but I linked to super similar options. After all, this is a post about classic wardrobe pieces, right? In addition to an effortless blouse or a dark pair of denim, a great handbag is always a wise investment piece. I love this one from Sole Society [that's almost 2 years old!] And it's VEGAN leather. Which is even more amazing! Shop more SS vegan leather options.

Outfit Post: Throwback Thursday with Boohoo

Today, I've teamed up with Boohoo as part of their Throwback Thursday Style Icon series. Have you shopped Boohoo before? They're an amazing UK-based retailer site with tons (and I mean TONS) of affordable fashion selections. They've got everything from dresses, rompers, accessories and midi skirts.

Ombre Hair Color - Raleigh Fashion Blogger - Floral Print Mid Length Full Skirt

When I started thinking about style icons, there were a few that came to mind. But the one who stood out to me the most was, obviously SJP's character Carrie Bradshaw. I love that she takes risks and wears what she wants - something I try to to emulate in my daily wardrobe choices. Sure, maybe not everything I do works, but I enjoy playing with clothes and fashion. It's supposed to be fun! Remember that iconic outfit from the 2nd Sex and the City movie? This one:

I've always loved this outfit because of the idea of mixing casual pieces with more dressier items. It's something I do A LOT. Plus it helps stretch your clothing further. (Did you know that skirt is actually the underskirt of a Zac Posen gown? So amazing!)

So, naturally I wanted to re-create a similar style and throw it back to Carrie's amazing "Abu Dhabi Souk" outfit.

How To Wear Midi Skirt for Spring

I totally wanted to have a Carrie Bradshaw moment with this floral print midi skirt and an afternoon event I attended last Saturday was the perfect occasion. Since it started at 1:00 pm, I paired it with one of my favorite, but totally neutral, tees. This way the skirt didn't feel too dressed up for an afternoon fashion show.

Full Printed SKirt - Valentino Rockstud Sandal Look Alike

Not only is this skirt oh-so #TBT Carrie Bradshaw, but the large floral print makes it perfect for spring! I can't wait to style it in several other ways. Oh and did I mention it has a matching crop top that goes with it. That too, can totally be a Carrie Bradshaw moment!
