Interview with Trina Turk!

A few weeks ago, I had the distinct honor of getting to chat with Trina Turk before the Junior League of Raleigh's Belk Event. This was a true dream come true! Being a frequent Palm Springs-er during our time in LA (and by that I seriously mean we went there once a month...) we often stopped in at both the Trina Turk & Mr. Turk store to see the bright, bold and colorful designs. I gushed to Trina about how much I loved those stores and we bonded over a shared love of vintage designs and sunglasses.. read on for more of our interview!

Outfit Post: Chambray & A Tulle Skirt

Space 46 Boutique Ivory Tulle Skirt - Wendy 30"
Old Navy Chambray Button Up (old - new version here)
Zara Rose Gold Double Strap Pumps (sold out - similar)
GiGi New York "Maggie" Cross Body in Sky Blue c/o || ILY Couture Neon Candy Necklace (sold out - super similar style) || Sole Society "Smythe" Sunglasses c/o || J. Crew Pave Link Bracelet || Michael Kors "Bradshaw" Watch || BCBGeneration #MYO Affirmation Bracelets c/o Belk

I have a confession to make.. I'm in love with the Midi skirt! It's such a ladylike and classic shape. Whenever I see it, I always think of Grace Kelly in "To Catch A Thief." At first I wasn't sure if I could pull it off since I'm shorter and petite (I have the shorter version too - seen here). But in fun fabrics, like this tulle version or a bold color, it's instantly modern and I'm hooked! I seriously want to wear this skirt like every day! It's even more gorgeous in person and so well made. I'm so thankful to have discovered Space 46 Boutique. Every woman needs to add this piece to her closet.

Spring officially starts tomorrow and I'm convinced that Mother Nature is going to start cooperating - I'm in desperate need of some sunshine. Happy Wednesday everyone!

March #MonogramMadness Contest with Jeweler's Wife

14K Rose Gold Plated Classic Monogram Bangle from Jeweler's Wife (gifted)

You guys know how much I'm obsessed with monograms. Whether it's a single initial like my N necklace, a stamp of gold on my handbag or this gorgeous cursive bracelet, I love them! It's the perfect way to show off your style in a subtle or not-so-subtle way. If you enjoy personalized pieces as much as I do, and are completely sick of this dreary winter weather, I've got a fun collaboration to share with you that will definitely brighten your day!!

How would you like to win your own custom piece of jewelry worth up to $300? I'm pretty sure you're saying YES right about now! So here's how you do it.

1. Fill out this quick & easy entry form for Jeweler's Wife Pinterest Contest
2. Follow Jeweler's Wife on Pinterest
3. Pin your favorite personalized/monogram pieces with inspiration from Jeweler's Wife website (or you can pin directly from the #MonogramMadness Board to make it easy)

{I personally love this modern monogram necklace & these initial earrings}

That's it! The contest is running from now until March 31 so make sure you follow all the steps so you can win! You can also share your picks on social media using the hashtag #MonogramMadness. And if you want to go ahead and order a piece while you're waiting for the contest to end use the promo code "JW1030" for $10 off your purchase of $30 or more! Good Luck!

We're not huge St. Patrick's Day celebrators but I still think it's fun to wear Green and who really wants to get pinched anyways? Plus there's still hope that someday I'll wake up to a big pot of gold by my bed... As the Biebs would say: "Never Say Never"!

March has been incredibly busy and crazy and amazing. I've got some exciting news about an event I'll be co-hosting on Saturday! More on that to come. If you're in Raleigh I hope you can make it. Until then shop my accessories from this post below. Happy Monday!!

P.S. did you know that it's incorrect to say: St. Patty's Day? Apparently if you shorten the holiday, it should be: St. Paddy's Day! Anyone else been doing this completely wrong for like... ever? I have!!

Wednesday Wish List: White Out

Lately I've been gravitating towards all white everything. More like obsessed with it actually. Since we haven't found a house to decorate in my new fav color scheme, I decided I could at least interject a little bit more neutrals into my wardrobe. Shop my favorite picks above. Are you into white as much as I am right now? Happy Wednesday!

I'm way behind on outfit posts but sharing is still caring right?

There's something about a black and white outfit that just makes me want to add a pop of color. This Lime clutch from GiGi New York's spring collection was the perfect choice. I guess you can't take the love for neon out of me.. I wore this a friend's engagement party a few weeks ago and everyone went bananas for my shoes! I'm so happy I scooped them up during the Prabal Gurung for Target collab but lucky for you I've found some awesome look-a-like options too. Shop them below..

This week brings a transition from one job to another. While I am so grateful for all my opportunities, I am super excited about this new adventure I'm about to venture out on. It's in the realm of fashion/style right here in the Triangle. I can't wait to share more details about it!! I also have some major news to share later this week and a recap of the Trina Turk event I attended on Sunday.. Did I mention I got to interview her?!?! Eeeeeek!

Stay Tuned!! Happy Tuesday! xo

Outfit Post: Vintage Floral Blazer

Vintage Galanos Floral Blazer borrowed from House of Landor (meaning it's still available!!)
J.Crew Merci Tee (sold out - extremely similar here)
Nude Sandals c/o LuLu's (sold out - similar style here) || Sole Society Natalya Crossbody c/o (on sale!!) || Vintage Tortoise CatEye Sunnies (similar style) || Coral Bubble Necklace gifted (similar style) || Maybelline "Vibrant Mandarin" Lipstick

Phew! It's been a whirlwind of a week and I apologize for being absent last week on the blog. Lots of transition happening and some really great opportunities for BAD have been popping up lately. I can't wait to share them with you!

You guys know how much I love vintage clothing. I think my draw to it is that it's incredibly special and sort of "one-of-a-kind", making it hard to have a "Who Wore It Best" moment. Enter House of Landor. This Raleigh based business run by Mary Beth has been my latest obsession. MB always has items in stock and you should check her Etsy page for weekly updates. But if you're looking for something more specific, you can contact her and she will do the leg work for you! Now that sounds like money well spent to me.

This floral blazer is amazinggggg! I chose to style it over my shoulders with jeans and a tee to make it more modern. I love the button details and the brocade material. Too fabulous! You can still scoop up this blazer by visiting HOL here. Also get ready for spring by shopping floral print blazers below.
