Outfit Post: Lemons On My Pants

If you live in Charleston, I basically have major [blog] envy. There are SO MANY gorgeous places to take photos! We walked around Sunday afternoon before heading home from SBScon and I fell in love with Waterfront Park (aka the Pineapple Fountain). Just freaking gorgeous! Thankfully, Lindsay was with me and snapped some photos underneath these bowing trees.

Also I have lemons on my jeans and clearly, I couldn't let this outfit pass by the blog!

There's something just so comforting about jeans and a tee, right? Thankfully these lemon print jeans (from Talbot's!) totally step up my comfy and casual outfit game. Not only do they fit so well (and I still ate lots and lots of brunch in them) but they are just the cutest. They also come in every size from 0 to 24, which makes them perfect for every gal! Shop these and more Talbot's lemon styles below.

I still feel like I'm going through Charleston withdrawals. Getting back to my regular 9-5 work has been a bit tough. It was just so lovely to be around ladies (and 1 guy!) who totally understand this little blogging world. I'm so thankful for all the new #IRL friendships I formed! Oh and did I mention taking outfit photos was a breeze (thanks Linds!) I can't wait to share more details with you!

Outfit Post: Printed White Out

You guys... this heat is cray-cray! I feel like we jumped pretty much from winter into summer and skipped right over spring. Thank goodness for cutoffs and mesh tees to keep me cool!

Rocksbox "Sophia" bracelet (use code nikkixoxo1 for a FREE month!)

I seriously can't get enough white. White Sunglasses. White Shoes. White Jewelry. All white everything please! But can we discuss how amazing these Yosi Samra flats are? I've a neon t-strap pair for a few years but this was my first pair of regular flats. And let me tell you... I don't want to take them off my feet! They're SO comfy! The best part is sipping them on to walk home in after a long day of heels at the office. But they totally work as a wear-all-day-comfy shoe too.

Hope you guys had a WONDERFUL weekend. Let's make this Monday a fabulous one!

Outfit Post: Tropical Print Top + Leather Skirt

Last week, I got to talk about some spring and summer essentials on My Carolina Today (view that post here) One of the items was this tropical print tee. Would you believe me if I told you this was from the Nicki Minaj Collection for KMart?!? That's what I love about fashion... there's always a surprise in store! Anyways... I plan on living in it this summer. Why? Because there are so many ways to style it! Here's how I wore it for the segment and the rest of my work day.

Mini Pashli Handbag

Nicki Minaj Collection Mesh Scuba Top

Pleated Midi Skirt with Tropical Print Tee

Tropical Print Top

Sole Society Danielle Sunglasses

Printed tropical scuba tee

Nicki Minaj Collection printed mesh tee (gifted)
Zara coated faux leather skirt (old - almost identical option)
Zara sandals (old - similar style)
3.1 Phillip Lim for Target Mini Pashli (splurge option)
Sole Society "Danielle" sunglasses c/o
Caravelle New York gold tone watch

I absolutely love the colors and the print on this tee. It's so bright and summery! But to make it office appropriate, I paired it with a pleated midi skirt and black heels. This kept it dressed up enough for work but still fun and cheeky. If your work doesn't allow open toe sandals, just swap them out for some pumps.

P.S. I'm REALLY into these fab sunnies from Sole Society. I love the retro-ish shape! So perfect for casual beach days or dressed up occasions.

Did you guys have a fabulous vacation? I'm still recovering from Key West. Let's just say... I'm not as young as I used to be! Hope you guys enjoyed it - I'm just excited about this 4 day work week. We're already halfway there! Happy Wednesday! xoxo

Outfit Post: Classic With A Leopard Twist

How are we back at Monday again? The weekends are just going by too fast. Even if you do spend them in bed, eating cranberry orange muffins and watching one too many episodes on HBO Go. Oops - sorry about the crumbs Bill! Risk taking fashion is oh-so-much-fun. But let's not forget how fabulous those classic pieces can be too. The older I get, the more I appreciate a great pair of jeans or an amazing blouse. But hey, not adding a glitter boot just wouldn't be me!

I know almost all these pieces aren't available, but I linked to super similar options. After all, this is a post about classic wardrobe pieces, right? In addition to an effortless blouse or a dark pair of denim, a great handbag is always a wise investment piece. I love this one from Sole Society [that's almost 2 years old!] And it's VEGAN leather. Which is even more amazing! Shop more SS vegan leather options.

We're almost to the end of the week everyone! I can't WAIT for this week to be O-V-E-R! It just means I'm one step closer to my #BADinNOLA trip happening next weekend! One of my best friends and roommates from college is getting married in August and all the gals are heading to Louisiana for 4 days to celebrate the bride to be!

You bet these uh-mazing Sole Society sandals are coming with me. I love the color (like a light Radiant Orchid) and thought they'd be perfect with this Vintage dress for a night out. I've actually been able to wear these shoes with denim shorts, dresses and pants too! Talk about versatility. Oh and guess what - they also come in 2 other colors, gray and nude. Run don't walk your fingers over to Sole Society and scoop them up!

Outfit Post: She's Gone Country

Judith March Fringe Skirt, Embroidered Chambray Button Up & Belt borrowed from The Impeccable Pig
Sole Society "Natalya" Mini Cross Body c/o & "Heather" Wedge Booties (old - similiar option)
Michael Kors "Bradshaw" Watch || J. Crew Pave Link Bracelet || Julie Vos Grande Soho Necklace c/o LuckyFABB || Blu Bijoux Pearl Bangles c/o Max & Chloe

When The Impeccable Pig's Cameron Village location asked me to come by and style some of their new arrivals I couldn't get my feet in the door fast enough. As one of my favorite stores probably ever and most definitely in the Raleigh area, I don't think I could have survived our cross country move without it! Everything in the store is totally wearable and budget friendly. It's the kind of place I could spend hours in. Plus the girls are so incredibly sweet! Love them!

Now, we all know I am a city girl through and through (and if you didn't well now you do!) but imagine my surprise when Leah, the manager, showed me this Judith March skirt while I was browsing the racks. Let me just tell you, I surprised myself by how much I fell in love with it. One swing of the fringey pieces and the next thing I knew, I was asking for a chambray shirt and running a total city-girl-meets-the-country moment in my head. Don't ask my why, but it would be safe to say the skirt has special powers. I most definitely noticed an extra sassy step in my walk when I came out of the dressing room.

Either way, I wanted to keep the vibe true to my style. Through layers of gold jewelry, messy hair and a chic wedge bootie, my country inspired look was much more city girl-esque. Yay! Plus I think this skirt would be a fantastic transitional piece from winter into spring. Imagine it with brown tights and riding boots now.. and then later with a chic sandal and neon tank for summer! So fun, right? Sometimes there's nothing like a great outfit to perk up a Monday morning!
