Whenever I think about adding a new piece of clothing to my closet, I try to come up with at least 3 different ways to wear it before I purchase it. It's super important to try and make your pieces as versatile as possible in order to push your wardrobe further. Take for instance this white VFish dress from Twelve Saturdays. When I first saw it, I had trouble trying to decide if I should style it for a night out or daytime. White it does have a slim fit, the A-line skirt hits mid-thigh making it ladylike. That's when I realized why not show both options!

This scalloped neck frock is the perfect piece to take you from board room meetings to happy hour cocktails with no problem. To make it office appropriate, I paired it with a black tuxedo blazer and bright cap toe pumps. My ILY Couture Pia handbag is the perfect add on for not only my black and white theme, but it holds everything from my camera, agenda and notebooks for meetings.

Fast forward to 6 PM when I meet my friends for Martini Wednesday. I throw my hair up in a bouncy pony, slip on a jeweled necklace, and strap on my fav lace up sandals. But you guys know I can't survive without color. So with a swipe of hot pink lipstick and a watercolor box clutch, I've instantly brought a flirty and fun element to my look. Just by switching out a few accessories and your shoes you can transition almost any look from day to night!

Don't forget to visit Twelve Saturdays to check out Liz's other fabulous dress options. P.S. a little birdie told me some new Game Day gear will be going up around mid-July/August so keep a look out!

Although the 1st day of summer isn't due for another few days, the hot weather certainly came early this year! We've had gorgeous sunny days with temps in the mid 80's for a few weeks now, and even though I'm still not used the humidity, I welcome any warm weather with open arms.

Enter Twelve Saturdays. You'll remember I fell in love with this Game Day shop last fall after discovering that they stock super cute, on trend and school color themed outfits! But did you know that Twelve Saturdays doesn't just offer fabulous options for your favorite team? Liz has got a whole bevvy of options that can transition you to and from any summer soiree!

This emerald option (in the official 2013 hue!) is lightweight, breezy and will keep you cool while the mercury rises. The shoulder cutouts are a nod to the 80's but the demure hemline and waist belt keep it fresh and current. I think it's the perfect travel option taking you from the beach to dinner while you're on your summer vacay. Don't forget to stop by Twelve Saturdays and see all the great options Liz has! Also be on the lookout for new game day wear which should be showing up shortly!

I'm baaaack! Sorry for the little [planned] hiatus. I think I am experiencing what we can call a "Quarter Life Crisis." And don't mock it - because it definitely exists. It's been quite a transition from the West Coast to Raleigh.. and I'm still in the middle of it! I miss our friends and mile-bike ride to the beach. I miss the weather (this humidity is killing me!) and I miss our church. I did a little bit of moping around the apartment for the last 30 days...

But I had an amazing meeting Monday that kind of snapped me out of my funk (at least for the moment) Don't you just love getting inspired? It's like a flood of happiness, adrenaline and scariness all at the same time. Which is probably why my smile is as big as it is in these pictures!

I love mixing prints and I thought these 2 pieces really worked together! And I'll tell you why. The sheer top coupled with the light colored printed jean compliment each other so well. It's important when mixing prints to find at least 1 similar hue because this will help tie them together. But I had to inject a little bit of fun and whimsy - so I paired it with my new colorblock handbag. Also does anyone else feel slightly better with a tan? Maybe it's just me...

Thank You Giveaway [Color By Amber Earrings]

Before I left L.A., I got to attend quite a few events/openings. And now that I'm finally settled in our new home, I just wanted to say a BIG thank you to my readers. But instead of just telling you, I thought what better way to thank you than to share some of the awesome stuff I receive!! There's no way I could use everything so I've split it into 4 special giveaways giving you more chances to win! A few have already ended but there's still a chance to enter for Swag Bag #2. Now we're onto the last one and I'm REALLY excited about these!
