Sometimes fall feels like a tough time to figure out what the heck to wear. The weather is absolutely Antartica freezing in the morning and by the time noon hits, you're ready to hit the beach. Well not exactly, but I'm sure you understand my sentiments.

This is why layering needs to be a major part of your fall wardrobe. Just because the weather temperatures are literally 30 degrees apart throughout the day, doesn't mean you can't still throw on your favorite pieces. Repeat after me ladies: Layer, Layer, LAYER!

First of all, I'm OBSESSED with this Jane Hudson dress. Y'all, it's SO good. Like one of the comfiest things I've ever worn. (Plus it doubles as a fantastic #BADxGameDay outfit piece for FSU games!) The garnet/maroon color fits perfectly with a fall palette, which is why I had to figure out a way to continue to wear it during the cooler months. Enter a trusty-never-ever-fails-me-not-even-once chambray shirt. I wanted to mix it up, so I layered mine underneath this frock and absolutely loved the look it gave me. Worried you'll get too warm? Just rock your button up on the outside of the dress and peel off to give your arms some air once it gets warmer.

Did I mention that right now, with Thanksgiving sales, this dress is marked down? YES PLEASE! Hurry over to scoop it up and shop the rest of my look right here:

Outfit Post: Frye Ankle Boots for the Fair

pssssst. Denim on Denim is no longer a no-no. But how do you wear it? Just keep your denim shades totally different. This outfit works because my chambray top is very light and my jeans are a dark rinse. What do you think?

I'm not sure if it was the fact that I was headed to the NC State Fair on Sunday - but something just made me want to throw on Denim on Denim, sport my new boots and eat an obscene amount of fair food (like whoa). If anyone tries to tell you Fried Mac-n-Cheese isn't amazing, then they haven't really lived.

These Frye ankle booties are my new jam. Would you believe me if I told you I've never owned a pair of Frye's before? Shocking, I know. Well color me happy, because I never want to take these babies off my feet. How did I not know how comfy they could be? I'd rather not focus on how many years I've wasted of not wearing Frye Boots. From now on, I only want to think about how many pairs I can add to my closet (the answer is 1 million.. obviously)

Lucky for you it's Frye week at Belk. So you can scoop up your favorite pair and not think about how ridiculous it is that you don't have one. Keep up with new Frye news all this week on social media with the hashtag #BelkScene. Happy Tuesday!

We're almost to the end of the week everyone! I can't WAIT for this week to be O-V-E-R! It just means I'm one step closer to my #BADinNOLA trip happening next weekend! One of my best friends and roommates from college is getting married in August and all the gals are heading to Louisiana for 4 days to celebrate the bride to be!

You bet these uh-mazing Sole Society sandals are coming with me. I love the color (like a light Radiant Orchid) and thought they'd be perfect with this Vintage dress for a night out. I've actually been able to wear these shoes with denim shorts, dresses and pants too! Talk about versatility. Oh and guess what - they also come in 2 other colors, gray and nude. Run don't walk your fingers over to Sole Society and scoop them up!

We're not huge St. Patrick's Day celebrators but I still think it's fun to wear Green and who really wants to get pinched anyways? Plus there's still hope that someday I'll wake up to a big pot of gold by my bed... As the Biebs would say: "Never Say Never"!

March has been incredibly busy and crazy and amazing. I've got some exciting news about an event I'll be co-hosting on Saturday! More on that to come. If you're in Raleigh I hope you can make it. Until then shop my accessories from this post below. Happy Monday!!

P.S. did you know that it's incorrect to say: St. Patty's Day? Apparently if you shorten the holiday, it should be: St. Paddy's Day! Anyone else been doing this completely wrong for like... ever? I have!!

Outfit Post: She's Gone Country

Judith March Fringe Skirt, Embroidered Chambray Button Up & Belt borrowed from The Impeccable Pig
Sole Society "Natalya" Mini Cross Body c/o & "Heather" Wedge Booties (old - similiar option)
Michael Kors "Bradshaw" Watch || J. Crew Pave Link Bracelet || Julie Vos Grande Soho Necklace c/o LuckyFABB || Blu Bijoux Pearl Bangles c/o Max & Chloe

When The Impeccable Pig's Cameron Village location asked me to come by and style some of their new arrivals I couldn't get my feet in the door fast enough. As one of my favorite stores probably ever and most definitely in the Raleigh area, I don't think I could have survived our cross country move without it! Everything in the store is totally wearable and budget friendly. It's the kind of place I could spend hours in. Plus the girls are so incredibly sweet! Love them!

Now, we all know I am a city girl through and through (and if you didn't well now you do!) but imagine my surprise when Leah, the manager, showed me this Judith March skirt while I was browsing the racks. Let me just tell you, I surprised myself by how much I fell in love with it. One swing of the fringey pieces and the next thing I knew, I was asking for a chambray shirt and running a total city-girl-meets-the-country moment in my head. Don't ask my why, but it would be safe to say the skirt has special powers. I most definitely noticed an extra sassy step in my walk when I came out of the dressing room.

Either way, I wanted to keep the vibe true to my style. Through layers of gold jewelry, messy hair and a chic wedge bootie, my country inspired look was much more city girl-esque. Yay! Plus I think this skirt would be a fantastic transitional piece from winter into spring. Imagine it with brown tights and riding boots now.. and then later with a chic sandal and neon tank for summer! So fun, right? Sometimes there's nothing like a great outfit to perk up a Monday morning!

Outfit Post: Florals & Chambray

H&M Floral Print Trousers (old - similar)
Old Navy Chambray Oxford
Boutique 9 "Orson" Pump (old - updated style herehere)
Phillip Lim for Target Mini Crossbody (sold out) || Nordstrom BP "Flash" Sunnies (splurge option) || Michael Kors "Bradshaw" Rose Gold Watch (dreaming of the gold/black & the matte black version) || Maybelline "Fuschia Fever" hot pink lipstick

You can't really ever go wrong with chambray and floral print. It's like peanut butter and jelly. It just makes sense.

The whole time we were flying to Los Angeles, I kept singing the Diddy song "I'm Coming Home" until Bill just about wanted to punch me in the face. The backdrop from these photos is the perfect reason why - one of my favorite streets in Santa Monica. We had absolutely amazing weather while we were there and I wish we could go back all the time.

I know I've raved about it before, but let me say how much I heart this Maybelline hot lip lipstick. It's the perfect shade I was searching for and I'm tempted to go back and get the neon orangey color too. Sometimes I'm so brand loyal that I have to remember to step outside the box and try some new things every now and then. Thankfully this lipstick trial was a success! Do you have a favorite brand/color lipstick that you can't go without?

Outfit Post: Brocade + Chambray

Chambray Shirt, Brocade Skirt & Nude Patent Flats: Target (old - skirt last seen here)
Gold Metallic Pom Pom: c/o ban.do
Glasses: c/o Firmoo

Just a quick little outfit post before I head off to LuckyFABB (see my recap from September's conference here) this morning! I couldn't be more happier that it's happening in L.A. this season (so much easier for wardrobe choices) but in hindsight.. maybe wasn't such a great idea trying to cram packing our entire lives in between the conference :)

Either way, I'm still really excited to see my favorite bloggers again and meet some new ladies! It's going to be great. Don't forget to follow me on Twitter, Facebook & Instagram today and tomorrow for updates! Can't wait to share this experience with you!!

Watch: Caravelle by Bulova c/o LuckyFABB
Love Bracelet: BCBGeneration c/o LuckyFABB

I couldn't celebrate Valentine's Day with my family so I thought this would be a fun and casual outfit to wear while I was visiting them! I've been wanting to test out the chambray-sweater layered look.. what do you guys think? It's a bit more preppy than I usually dress but I thought it was still cutesy!

I love this heart print sweater - so happy my mom scored it for a Christmas gift. Have you check out Old Navy lately? They've got some fabulous graphic print sweaters that are SUPER budget friendly. Try layering it with a chambray shirt or printed button down underneath. I saw a floral print at Target that would be fabulous. SO cute!

I've got some crazy and exciting news to share with you that will be changing BAD just a teeny bit.. Stay tuned for the big announcement coming soon!
