Kate Moss for Topshop Favs

image via British Vogue

It's here! The anticipated Kate Moss for Topshop 2014 Collection officially landed this AM and the pieces are pretty fabulous. You can absolutely see the Kate Moss influence - it's almost as if the pieces came straight for her closet. The prices are a bit steep, so it's probably going to be a 1 piece purchase for most of us, but the good news is that there's lots to choose from. I personally love the beaded fringe cocktail dress the most (pictured above too) and the Pajama Top & Pant set (which is actually for day wear not sleepy time) Which of the below pieces do you love the most? You better hurry though.. a lot of the collection is already sold out! Eeeeek!

Psssttt you can also shop the collection on Nordstrom & Net-a-Porter

Outfit Post: Sweatshirt Chic Geek

Zero UV Wayfarer Clear Frames c/o LuckyFABB
Prabal Gurung for Target Sweatshirt (old - similar option at Saks)
Zara Studded Back Booties (similar version)
Sole Society Natassia Satchel (similar style from SS here too) c/o || Jeweler's Wife/Reeds Classic Monogram Bangle in Rose Gold c/o || Michael Kors Bradshaw Watch in Rose Gold  || Jennifer Zeuner Cursive Name Plate Necklace in Rose Gold (gifted) || Groopdealz Number Rings (extremely similar and budget option!!)

It's been a long and crazy month of April. Work, Life, Weather, and everything in between. I am kind of ready for a vacation but have nothing planned as of yet. Do you have any upcoming trips?

Before I go any further I should mention that Jeweler's Wife/Reeds is offering $15 off monogram purchases of $50 or more with the code JWAI1550. Oh yeah!

How fabulous are these clear frames from Zero UV?!? They were part of my LuckyFABB giftbag and while everyone else received sunglasses, I got lucky and scored these vintage style frames. I have been wearing them non-stop which is slightly ridiculous since I have contacts. But either way I REALLY love them. I also didn't realize this until after I shot this outfit... but let's do a little version of who wore it best?

I remember seeing this outfit on Zoe Saldana last year and I must have subconsciously channeled it while I was getting dressed. But let's be real.. ZS is a goddess and anyone is 2nd best next to her! Shop my outfit below!

Pineapple Express

1. Zoe Krassen Sweatshirt || 2. Anna Coroneo Scarf || 3. dELIiA*s Dress || 4. ASOS Necklace || 5. Free People Pants || 6. J.Crew Purse (30% off with GOSHOP) || 7. DV8 by Dolce Vita Shoes || 8. River Island Cell Phone Case || 9. Topshop Swimsuit

Have you noticed the pineapple craze that's been popping up on practically everything lately?! I think it's absolutely perfect for the upcoming summer months. It kind of gives everything a Miami/Palm Beach/Hawaiian vibe, don't you think? How kitchy is this pineapple shaped purse or the hot pink scarf? It's just the pinch of prep your outfit needs. Which piece are you loving the most?

We close on our house today! I can't WAIT to get the keys and start moving everything in. Then it's time to think about décor... yikes! That's a whole other beast to conquer and Bill & I are already disagreeing about how to decorate (who thought a dude could feel so passionately about credenzas and couches?!) Don't be surprised if you start seeing a few home design posts popping up here and there.

Outfit Post: Lace & Neon Roses Maxi Dress

*photos taken by Jaclyn*

The Impeccable Pig Lace & Roses Maxi Dress c/o (now available!!)
Graphic Image http://bit.ly/1kkEuDR (gifted)
Michael Kors Rose Gold "Bradshaw" Watch (now on sale!!)

This is what I wore to Day 2 of #LuckyFABB (aka the networking brunch) which was probably one of my favorite parts of the entire conference. It was so great to chat with all my friends and connect with new ladies (and 1 guy!)

I can already tell that I'm going to live in this maxi dress all summer long. The pretty halter like neckline and open back makes it dressy enough for fancier occasions but I can also throw on some sandals and wear it to a casual dinner after a day on the beach. The ladies at the brunch went crazy for it and now you can get your hands on it too!

Did you guys have a great Easter? I've been so slammed with work at my new job that I've hardly had a second to breathe.. can't wait to share more information with you guys about it! :) Happy Tuesday!

Recap: Macy's Spring Essentials Fashion Show

Last month was a majorly exciting one for not only my blog but for me! I was asked to co-host a fashion show at Macy's to showcase their new Impulse shopping section! I had such a blast with Sharon Delaney (who by the way was a HUGE inspiration to me growing up) as we got to chat about spring trends, what's back in style and how every day women like you and me can rock these looks and stay on budget! Suzanne Libfraind from Wardrobe Consulting did a fabulous job styling the models while a few students from the local Art Institute assisted her and the models.

It was seriously one of the most fun events I've ever done and reminded me of how much I missed being in front of a camera and a crowd. Scroll through to see a few photos from the event and what I wore. A HUGE thanks to Macy's for asking me to be part of this fabulous event!

So excited to walk out and see everyone!

Talking with Sharon about how to mix prints (I think I convinced her to do it!)

RACHEL Rachel Roy Open Back Jumpsuit (which is on MAJOR sale right now!) || Vince Camuto Gold Curved Cut Out Cuff || Vince Camuto Gold Green Stone Tassel Necklace || Heels (my own)

Thanks to Suzanne for picking out my outfit! I LOVED this open back jumpsuit

Diane rocked classic and elegant looks all afternoon. This black-and-white combo was perfect for her!

All the models and styling assistants with Sharon, Suzanne and myself

Finally got to meet Grace from Gracefullee Made in person and also met Corbin from The Classy South. Thanks for coming out and supporting me ladies!!

With Sharon & Suzanne after the event - so much fun!

It's been a crazy start to April so I'm just getting around to my LuckyFABB recaps and outfits. Eeeeek! I'm already missing the warm and sunny LA weather. Seriously though, less than 10 minutes back in my stomping grounds and I felt right at home. I had the best weekend thanks to several lovely ladies who I'll be sharing about a little later on..

After flying in on Thursday morning, I had my hair re-colored at Ramirez Tran salon by the absolutely amazing (and my new BFF) Stephen. He is a color genius y'all and created the most perfect shade of blonde. After my marathon hair appointment, I had 2 pre-FABB events to attend and this is what I wore to both. I love a good crop top and wearing it with a modest midi skirt is my new favorite outfit. There's something sexy and ladylike about the combo don't you think? Shop my black-and-nude picks below.

Stay tuned for more LA pictures and re-caps! Happy Wednesday everyone! xo
 P.S. did you catch Monday's outfit post/giveaway?

April 3 for $30 Challenge & Giveaway: Pastels

Okay so I know you must be thinking I don't know what the heck pastels look like.. but I promise I do. If you look real close my fabulous Peter Pilotto for Target shoes and nails have pastel colors in them. The truth is I don't love the way pastels look on my skin tone so I had to make this challenge work for me and my style!

H&M Cobalt Blazer (very old but extremely similar at BooHoo)
Peter Pilotto for Target Slip On Sneakers (on clearance!)
Phillip Lim 3.1 for Target Handbag (splurge option at Net-A-Porter)
Sally Hansen "Mint Sorbet" nail polish || Vintage Sunglasses

I wore this outfit before I got my hair done in Raleigh a few weeks ago. It was so comfy and I can't believe how much this self-proclaimed heel lover is enjoying her slip-on sneakers! I'm even trying to figure out how I can wear them to work... I loved this blue pair so much that I got the black and white pair too (also on clearance!!)

As I mentioned before I don't know if a full head-to-toe pastels look is right for me, so when Candy challenged us to wear these Easter-like colors I decided to buck the norm and make this trend work for me. Nail polish is also another one of my favorite tricks to do when I'm a bit hesitant to dive head first into a new style. So I rocked my Mint Green nails with my pastel-ish muted yellow/green shoes. Just proof that you don't always have to conform ;)

The 3 of us are also hosting a giveaway for this fun 3 for $30 challenge including a $30 Visa giftcard! Woo-Hoo!! You can enter below!

If you're interested in participating in July '3 for $30', please send your name, blog title and URL to: Candy at diaryofasouthernbelle@gmail.com

Happy Monday!

Pinspiration: Overalls

I can't even believe I'm typing this post. When this trend began to emerge again I thought "There is NO WAY I am ever wearing those again" Well Nikki, better open wide because I'm about to eat a huge mouthful of my words. Read My Lips: I've fallen in love with the Overalls Trend. However, the new versions that I'm referring to aren't your typical pair of 90's dunagrees. For 2014 it's all about skinny legs and slimmer fits. I've rounded up a few pinspiration photos with ideas on how to rock this style as well as some super rad options for you to shop. You know, for when you're ready to dive back into the overalls pool. Let's go through them together shall we?

Now these dark denim overalls are definitely a piece any lady can get behind. The darker the rinse and the skinnier the leg, the more modern they look!

Love the idea of black denim in the form of overalls - the cute sneakers & gingham button up are icing on the cake!

If you're not sure about the overalls trend, maybe try a different material than denim. This maroon leather option, paired with a printed top and statement necklace, keep the outfit fun and fresh.

If you're wanting to sport a pair in a lighter wash, use tailored and feminine pieces to revamp an otherwise casual ensemble. The use of a structured bag, polka dot blouse and forest green pumps, like above, are ideal for a patchwork distressed pair of overalls.

I adore the idea of a chambray tied around the waist - so 90's, yes I know. Pepper in chic accessories like cognac ankle booties and a striped long sleeve to transform your look from flat out nostalgia to fabulously reminiscent.

This last look is one of my favorites. Combine rinses with an ombré light to dark pair then top off with lots of sparkling jewelry and metallic pumps. Again, notice the slim cut leg? Makes the entire outfit seem much cleaner and more put together.

So what do you think? Are you ready to plunge [back] into overalls? I can't decide between shorts or pants.. decisions, decisions! Shop some fabulous picks below!
