Altuzarra For Target Picks

I really do love when Target releases their designer collaborations. Part of the fun is getting up early and actually visiting the store to see the clothes in person. And not every collaboration is the best, but I really liked the Altuzarra for Target collection. The main color palate was wine and black with luxurious gold accents and embroidery. It's beyond perfect for the upcoming fall and winter seasons.

I bought the crane sweater and the peasant dress. I absolutely loved the wine colored wrap dress and the crane dress but they were just cut a little too low in the front for me. I also really wanted to check out the velvet tuxedo blazer and tuxedo pant but my target didn't have those. Also how cute is the PJ set?

Did you scoop anything up yet? Do tell! Happy Tuesday loves! xo

As I previously mentioned they are kids's size but I still love them. {I'm wearing an XL}

One of my favorite parts of blogging is discovering do-gooder brands like Half United. I'm wearing the Jasmine Necklace which supplies over 12 meals to children! Let me explain... Half United actually donates HALF of all their profits to fight against hunger both here in the U.S. and around the world. They've got the most amazing jewelry, made from bullet shells/casing in hopes of having your jewelry be not only a conversation starter, but turns something negative into a positive. In fact every time I've worn this piece, someone notices it and mentions it. You've got check out more styles below. You'll not only look good but FEEL good about giving back. #TargetStyle: Fresh Floral Prints

For my last and final #TargetStyle post we're discussing.... Florals! I know - it seems so cliché... a flower print for spring? But it really is that fabulous! Prints are an easy and super chic way to update your wardrobe and Target let's you do it on a major budget! Which means you can get several pieces in this flirty and fresh take on an "oldie but a goodie" Let's take a look at some of my favorite flowered Target finds:

#TargetStyle: Spring Florals

Floral Print Jeans // Floral Print Scarf  // Floral Print Shirt // Floral Umbrella // Floral Print Tote // Floral Printed Rain Jacket  // Floral Print Swim Top & Bottom

How fun are these items? I am totally drooling over that floral print button down - perfect for layering or mixing prints. And you'll be the hit at your next pool party or beach getaway in a bright and sassy swimsuit. What's that saying.. April Showers bring May Flowers? Well I say take on April showers with flower print options like this umbrella or rain jacket.

With all this fickle weather (back & forth, back & forth) I say we take the lead and start Spring off on the right foot with colorful and chic floral prints. Tell me... are you into floral prints right now? If so, how are you wearing them?

Don't forget to check out my other fabulous #TargetStyle picks like these polka dot outfits or my favorite vacation sandals! Happy Thursday everyone! xo

#TargetStyle: Vacation Worthy Sandals

The time for beach vacations has arrived! Whether you're trying to escape the snow or just enjoying some fun in the sun, warm tropical destinations are probably on your travel agenda. Enter the perfect options from Target!! You'll definitely want to pick up these shoes for your next spring break or summer trip...

Vacation Worthy Sandals from Target!

I've got a few tips & tricks that will help you decide on what types of pairs to include and how to pack them!

Since tropical destinations don't require much more than a bikini, a good book & a ice cold drink - your suitcase should stay fairly light. During the day, you'll probably will be strolling beaches or hanging poolside - maybe a little sight seeing here and then. Then nighttime is reserved for casual relaxed dinners & evenings out at local spots.

Pick 2 pairs of flat sandals to bring - 1 fun or colorful option (obsessed with this bold 2-tone option) and 1 neutral that can go with most of your vacay wardrobe. Remember the leopard ones from Monday's Target Spring Essential post? Love those & I think we've established that leopard is totally a neutral ;) By choosing each of these, your giving yourself options, yet only taking up room with 2 pairs of flat shoes! Double Bonus, right?

I recommend making your dressy pair of shoes a platform wedge. They'll be comfy enough to walk around town (if needed) and you can throw them on with any skirts, summer frocks or pair of shorts to easily spruce up your evening ensemble. When we went to Puerto Rico last year I chose a pair that were perfect for a wedding yet could be worn with anything else I brought. Oh! Make sure to wear them on the plane! You'll keep your airport look stylish and save room in your suitcase. Done & Done.

What are some of your favorite shoes to bring on vacation? Did I leave anything out that you think is a must have?

#TargetStyle: Spring Closet Essentials

The first day of spring is rapidly approaching... too bad our SoCal weather isn't quite cooperating! But I've decided I'm still sharing what I think are closet essentials for spring. These #TargetStyle items are must haves that should be added to your wardrobe immediately!

Spring Closet Essentials with TargetStyle

Sunhat // Denim Cutoffs // Stacks of Bracelets // Spring-y Nail Polish // Skinny Belt // Coral Tank // Leopard Sandals

A gal should always have a great pair of denim shorts in her closet. This is one item that can be rotated over and over throughout the warmer months. Tanks, tees, button ups, sweaters - really your possibilities here are endless. Plus you can pair with tights and boots during the winter (love that idea!)

Leaving behind the winter weather always means bright colors! A coral tank top or pastel blue nail polish will help show off that spring break tan and keep your happy meter... well happy!

By now, we know that leopard is a neutral - yes? So these gladiator-like animal print sandals are fabulous with a capital F. Dress them up with lace dresses or go beachy with shorts and tank. I'm loving the gold details too!

Lastly, a girl has to accessorize! What set of arm candy couldn't use these ombré bracelets? They're the perfect amount of pizazz that your spring look needs. Skinny belts can take that flowy cover-up from poolside chic to a date night cinch. I also believe that every woman should own at least one floppy hat. It keeps the sun off your face and you'll look like the glamorous lady that you are!

Tell me, what's on your Closet Essential list?

#TargetStyle: Connect The Dots

The countdown to spring continues and I couldn't be more thrilled to share some of my favorite Polka Dot picks from Target! This is a trend that's definitely here to stay (I obsessed about them first here) so you'll want to stock up on lots of dotted pieces.

While black & white is a fabulous combo, polka dots in color are a fresh and fun way to inject some style into your look. If you do go classic though, try a shoe in a bright hue - it's just the pop your outfit will need. Since everything below is Target, you already know it's super affordable and a fab find. Plus with the mixed print trend happening, you'll be able to push your spotted look further by pairing it with florals, ikat or other polka dot pieces. Let's take a look at some of my picks.. Oh and can we discuss how obsessed with both the cap toe heel & neon crossbody I am? They come in multiple colors so I'm tempted to buy one of each!!

#TargetStyle: Spring Lace

Another spring trend that neither Target nor myself can get enough of? Lace!! Whether it's a cocktail dress, flirty pair of shorts or a scalloped mini, this style has been in full-on wardrobe rotation. I'm most excited about it for spring because colored lace is going to be so mah-jor! I love inserting color any way, shape or form into my closet - this is the perfect excuse to do just that! Just take a look at some of these bright and bold pieces Target currently has on deck:

Target Lace Trend

Shorts / Dress / Peplum Top / Pencil Skirt / Blouse / Long Sleeve Top / Dress / Clutch

Aren't these colors SO much fun?! Just makes me want to dive head first into Spring. Plus, there are literally endless styling options. Here's a few suggestions on how you can incorporate lace into your wardrobe:

Accessorize!: Slip on a metallic pump for fancy occasions or a whimsical pair of sunnies if you're going more casual. I'd also wear a big statement necklace with that Target peplum top. Can't go wrong with lace & jewels right?

Mix Prints & Textures: I am dying over the leopard touches that both Whitney & Alexa added to their styles - it keeps the whole ensemble funky and fresh. Test the waters with a leopard belt around your pencil skirt or a studded leather jacket overtop a lacey dress. You could also pair a colored lace clutch with some cutoffs & boots. Don't be scared to mix & match - fashion is supposed to be fun remember?!

Try A Peek-A-Boo Underneath: A hint of a black cami underneath a white lace blouse (à la Karlie Kloss) is super sexy! Just remember we want to keep it classy and not streetwalker! Stay away from colored bras and pair your top with a full length tank instead.

When In Doubt, Go Neutral: I love that Keira paired her Kelly green dress with nude pumps. I feel like neutral accessories are never a bad decision. It lets the lace standout and become the main focal point, but still keeps your look pulled together. A pair of dark denim skinny jeans is always a fabulous choice with tops. Super chic!

Are you planning on adding lace to your wardrobe? I want to know what pieces you want and how you would style them! Don't forget everything above is SO within your budget because it's from Target!! Such a fabulous choice for both your closet and your wallet! You can shop more lace looks here:

Target's Dip Dye Trend: Not Just For Your Hair!

I'm so excited to share my new partnership with Target! Over the next few weeks I'll be bringing you a series of posts that will showcase spring style and how you can get your hands on these trends. Dip Dye is first up on the list and we already know how much I love that (ummm have you seen my hair?)

But we're taking it a bit further with this ombré style and incorporating it into our wardrobe! Here's how I tried it...

The closer the calendar reaches spring & summer the more I want to start wearing cutoff shorts, sandals & tanks! It also means trips to the beach for this SoCal lady! So I took my new favorite Denim Dip Dye Tote along for a spin this weekend. I can see how this bag could easily become my new favorite carry-all (it hold everything) But I really love the coloring! It's so bright, unique and perfect for spring. Plus, the denim will go with anything in your wardrobe. I've got a trip to Hawaii coming up and I have a feeling this will be new best friend!

I took it with the beach to me yesterday (wearing this outfit) (well minus the necklace - threw that in the tote last minute to put on after the beach when we strolled along the promenade and had a very happy hour.) This tote was a perfect companion to my maxi dress & floppy hat - something every girl has in their wardrobe! While Bill was playing volleyball, all the ladies at the courts told me howmuch they loved the bag and said they could wait to visit Target to scoop it up.

Here's a few more Target pieces that you can score (talk about affordable!) and start adding to your summer ombré wardrobe:

How perfect would this ombré fedora be for summer concerts? Plus for the price, you could nab it in all 4 colors!

My love affair with sweatshirts continue! I'd dress this one up with printed pants and my favorite pair of heels

I practically live in my cutoffs during the summer! A dip dye pair with a white tee, sky high wedges and statement necklace is what I plan to live in until September.

What about you? Do you plan on trying Dip-Dye? I can't wait to see if you do!

It’s Time for Springtime.

Outfit Post: Casual Kaleidoscope

{Photos by my mom}

Denim: Express (similar here)
Clutch: GiGi New York (enter my giveaway here to win it; get 20% off your purchase with code DAZZLE)
Necklace: Fab'rik in Raleigh

After I rushed out with my mom to grab some pieces from the Prabal Gurung for Target collection, it didn't take me very long to start sporting one of my favorites. Lately, I've been living in fancy sweatshirts - you know the ones with prints or sayings on them? Thankfully, they're on trend so it doesn't look like I'm wearing pajamas around town. But even if it does, I don't care - because this gal likes her casual comfy clothes.

This outfit was perfect for palling around Raleigh with my mom. The weather was crisp but cool and cloudy. Brightened it up with my new favorite Coral clutch from GiGi (did you hear I'm giving one away? Head over here to enter - 20 chances to win!) and kept it grounded with these moto boots. I swear I live in these babies.

Other ways I'm thinking about styling this sweatshirt? Jean cutoffs and boots for sure. So perfect for rising spring temps. I also want to style it the way this gorgeous gal did: how smart to wear it with a pencil skirt and high heels! Did you guys grab anything from thsi collection? Oh and please don't forget I'm on the hunt for these precious things... and desperate to find them!

Wanted: Prabal Gurung for Target Lace Up Pumps

The ones that got away! Nolita Print Multi-Color Lace Up Pumps from the Prabal Gurung for Target collection

I really shouldn't even be posting this... I got everything I wanted and more on Sunday when the Prabal Gurung for Target line went on sale.. (see this blurry insta photo from my haul) But these gorgeous multi-color babies just slipped through my fingers early Sunday AM when I went to add them to my bag.. and devastation... Size 6... sold out..... sigh...

So even though my little heart should be content with all the floral & kaleidoscope goodness I did get my hands on.. I can't help but yearn for these neon gorgies. I'm not giving up on them quite yet (remember when I was searching high and low for this bad boy? Successfully found!) So I'll be on the lookout 24/7 and putting scouts to work in different cities too ;)

Oh & if you happen to not want to the pair you bought.. size 6.. Let me know and I will gladly take those off your hands! And no I won't be purchasing them from you for some crazy obscene amount.. I've already seen 1 pair on ebay for $150... but I will pay you for them, plus a little something extra. Can you help a sister out?!

Outfit Post: Pink Pants & Leopard Loafers

Denim: Old Navy "Rockstar"
Sweater: Anat B
Leopard Loafers: Target
Bag: J. Crew (old)
Sunnies: Thrifted
Lips: Revlon "Wild Orchid"

There's something so girly and fun about mixing this pink hue with a classic leopard print. Try pairing your printed shoes with a colored denim for a twist on the casual "Jeans & Flats" look. Notice my new sunnies - love when I stumble across vintage finds!

Friday night we got a special treat while having a double date with some friends! Dinner on the outdoor deck at Typhoon, a restaurant at the private Santa Monica Airport. As we ate our dumplings and pad thai noodles, we had a front row seat to watch the small planes fly in and out of the LA Sunset.

{View from dinner.. Pretty magical if I do say so myself!}
