Outfit Post: Neon Floral Print Crop Pants

photos taken by Ashley

Target Neon Floral Trousers (exact - sold out in stores)
Target Crop Top (old - similar style at Macy's and identical version at BooHoo)
Zara Sandals (old - similar style here)
Jennifer Zeuner Cursive Nameplate Necklace in Rose Gold (exact)
Chanel Sunglasses borrowed from Hallie (similar style at Piperlime)

I totally forgot about these pictures that I took during my trip to LA in April! Thankfully when I was uploading some photos yesterday I came across them.

The truth is, I think they got lost in the shuffle because I was hesitant to post these. One: because wearing a crop top and then having your photo taken in one are two totally different things. This outfit was so much fun and even though it's more stomach than I usually show (even for this crop top lover) I still loved it. Two: These pants are from.... the kids section of Target. Yes, I have to admit that sometimes I shop from the kids section at stores. I mean sometimes they just have the cutest stuff! And since I'm so short and petite they can actually fit better. That doesn't mean I buy everything from there. But an item or two here and there doesn't hurt anyone - especially my wallet (ummmm... kids prices are amazing)

Now that I've got that secret off my chest - let's move on! And don't worry.. I found a pair of neon print pants that you can actually find in the adult section of a store. I promise! Happy Tuesday everyone!

Outfit Post: Vintage Floral Blazer

Vintage Galanos Floral Blazer borrowed from House of Landor (meaning it's still available!!)
J.Crew Merci Tee (sold out - extremely similar here)
Nude Sandals c/o LuLu's (sold out - similar style here) || Sole Society Natalya Crossbody c/o (on sale!!) || Vintage Tortoise CatEye Sunnies (similar style) || Coral Bubble Necklace gifted (similar style) || Maybelline "Vibrant Mandarin" Lipstick

Phew! It's been a whirlwind of a week and I apologize for being absent last week on the blog. Lots of transition happening and some really great opportunities for BAD have been popping up lately. I can't wait to share them with you!

You guys know how much I love vintage clothing. I think my draw to it is that it's incredibly special and sort of "one-of-a-kind", making it hard to have a "Who Wore It Best" moment. Enter House of Landor. This Raleigh based business run by Mary Beth has been my latest obsession. MB always has items in stock and you should check her Etsy page for weekly updates. But if you're looking for something more specific, you can contact her and she will do the leg work for you! Now that sounds like money well spent to me.

This floral blazer is amazinggggg! I chose to style it over my shoulders with jeans and a tee to make it more modern. I love the button details and the brocade material. Too fabulous! You can still scoop up this blazer by visiting HOL here. Also get ready for spring by shopping floral print blazers below.

#TargetStyle: Fresh Floral Prints

For my last and final #TargetStyle post we're discussing.... Florals! I know - it seems so cliché... a flower print for spring? But it really is that fabulous! Prints are an easy and super chic way to update your wardrobe and Target let's you do it on a major budget! Which means you can get several pieces in this flirty and fresh take on an "oldie but a goodie" Let's take a look at some of my favorite flowered Target finds:

#TargetStyle: Spring Florals

Floral Print Jeans // Floral Print Scarf  // Floral Print Shirt // Floral Umbrella // Floral Print Tote // Floral Printed Rain Jacket  // Floral Print Swim Top & Bottom

How fun are these items? I am totally drooling over that floral print button down - perfect for layering or mixing prints. And you'll be the hit at your next pool party or beach getaway in a bright and sassy swimsuit. What's that saying.. April Showers bring May Flowers? Well I say take on April showers with flower print options like this umbrella or rain jacket.

With all this fickle weather (back & forth, back & forth) I say we take the lead and start Spring off on the right foot with colorful and chic floral prints. Tell me... are you into floral prints right now? If so, how are you wearing them?

Don't forget to check out my other fabulous #TargetStyle picks like these polka dot outfits or my favorite vacation sandals! Happy Thursday everyone! xo
It’s Time for Springtime.

Outfit Post: All Mixed Up

Leopard Booties: Charlotte Russe (similar style here and LOVE these)
Skirt: Zara (on sale)
Top: Thrifted
Necklace: Forever 21 (very similar style here)
Nails: Sinful Colors "Neon Melon"

I love experimenting with my wardrobe. I definitely like to take risks and try new options - why be boring?? I've been wanting to try mixing patterns for a while but had yet to really dive in (I did try florals and leopard together on a smaller scale here) My first choice was to test the waters with stripes, but so far I can't find a striped top I love (that and a denim chambray have been so challenging for me..) So I thought why not try it with shoes?

I've had these leopard booties for a while and I wear them with TONS of pieces in my closet. Jeans, Skirts, Shorts - they're a fab go-to when you need a dash of playfulness. The watercolor print skirt isn't too over powering which makes it a perfect complement with the leopard print. I kept the rest of it simple with a slightly sparkly silver sweater and a whimsical elephant statement necklace.

Tell me - have you mixed prints yet? What's been your favorite? I need some inspiration! Happy Monday!
