Look Of The Day: Chloë Moretz in Max Mara

I'm in total adoration of Chloë Moretz. She manages to keep her style age appropriate with the perfect combination of sophistication and playfulness.

Chloë showed up as the guest of honor for the Max Mara "Face of the Future" event looking fresh and fabulous. Her bright teal dress by the label fits her to a T - notice the panel details? I also can't help but swoon over the pop of neon from her nude pumps - so fun! Perfect hair, easy makeup, minimal accessories top off her look. What do you guys think? Do you like?

Look Of The Day: Angelina Jolie in Jenny Packham

Angeline Jolie at the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival

I don't normally feature Ange on here too often - mostly because I feel she always wears the same black dress over and over again. I do love the idea of taking something and making it your own, but since we're seeing her in the same type of look all the time, I always appreciate when she steps out of the box. So when Angelina showed up to the Berlin Film Festival, my jaw literally dropped when I saw what she was wearing. A gorgeous glittering gunmetal and champagne beaded Jenny Packham gown. I mean, how stunning does she look?? The cut is super feminine yet those silver beads lend the star that hint of signature edge. Long sleeve gowns are having a major moment on the red carpet lately and I'm totally in love. This particular one has a V-neck that shows just the right amount of skin. And because her features are so prominent, I love when she wears her hair loose and down - makes her look a little less... well "frigid" is the term we'll use. Gorgeous cat eye makeup and peach lips round out this total package. I think she looks ridiculously amazing and such a breath of fresh air from her usually black-on-black choices. What do you guys think? Are you loving this different side of Ange as much as I am??

P.S. It's Wednesday!! We're halfway there! :)

Currently Inspired By: Emerald Green

Green With Envy

Sorry for the lack of posts - our household has been a bit crazier than normal! But I couldn't resist sharing my latest obsession - Emerald Green! Celebs have been showing up everywhere wearing glittering green gowns, enchanting emerald jewels and color-blocked choices in this fabulous hue. I, for one, am completely obsessed with this trend! And though I've yet to find a shimmering Gwyneth or Zoe "Steal Her Look For Less" option, I have started small:

Zoya "Ivanka" Nail Polish
How perfect is this Zoya glitter green nail polish?! I'm so in love with it! Now on to the perfect glittering column gown... Happy Thursday everyone! xoxo

Style Crushing: Nicole Richie

I've always been a huge Nicole Richie fan. She's gorgeous, hilarious and has really grown into a style inspiration for my wardrobe. Especially as of late since she's been showing up everywhere looking absolutely amazing. Whether it's running errands, hosting an event or just taking her daughter to ballet, one thing is certain: the girl has style game.

Nicole tends to gravitates towards basic silhouettes but always adds a whimsical twist that makes her stand out from the crowd. She's become a pro at infusing bohemian touches into her everyday wardrobe while still keeping her look completely on trend and modern. I literally want to wear everything she puts on - making her a major style crush in my book. And.. Ok I'll admit it - I also can't help but love her new bangs - I was practically ready to cut my hair myself just to get the look.

Take a few style cues by pairing a simple look with leopard touches {1 & 4} Or change up your weekend style by pairing your favorite skinnies with an oversize sweater and open toe booties {2} At your next event choose a cutout dress or  plunging neckline but keep it tasteful and understated with closed toed shoes {3 & 5}. Branch out and discover a few new style tricks you hadn't thought of before. And if you take one thing away from Nicole's wear - have fun and enjoy it! Happy dressing! xoxo

Look Of The Day: Freida Pinto in Salvatore Ferragamo

Freida Pinto at the premiere of Black Gold

The always gorgeous Freida Pinto wore a lovely berry colored pleated gown from Salvatore Ferragamo during the Tribeca Film Festival last week. The Grecian inspired look, including a soft updo, absolutely knocked it out of the park for me. I LOVE the tassel belt and all her gold-toned accessories. All in all, it's a completely stunning ensemble.

As we delve further into the winter months, I've decide to keep my brights going as long as possible. It doesn't get extremely cold here in LA but you can further you're bold options by pairing them with basics like black tights and long sleeve tees. You could even trade out the typical black dress and go for a long gown in a jewel tone [like the above] as a fabulous option for your Holiday parties or formal New Year's Ball. I guarantee that your vibrant choice will have you wearing a smile on your face the entire evening. Happy Wednesday! xoxo

Look Of The Day: Olivia Palermo in Mulberry

Olivia Palermo wearing Mulberry

Today's LOTD is from a few weeks ago, but I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since I saw it. Olivia Palermo's styling is absolute ridiculousness. I don't think the girl has ever NOT worn an amazing outfit (If she has I want proof!) And even though I was quite underwhelmed and less than impressed with her guest judging on last week's Project Runway episode (seriously... what a snooze!) I'll let her slide because of this fabulous outfit. The former The City star showed up to Mulberry's Spring 2012 presentation wearing a top, heels and clutch from the line. It's so feminine and incredibly stylish. I love the proportions of the metallic top and slim pants, reminding me that I must find black skinny jeans as soon as possible. Do you guys have any recommendations on where to get some? Plus I need those bow front pumps. So adorable and could totally be achieved with DIY shoe clips.

What do you guys think? Hey it's Thursday which means it's almost Friday! Yippeee! xoxo

Poll: Sarah Jessica Parker's European Press Tour

I'm so excited to see SJP's newest movie I Don't Know How She Does It. It looks so cute and I there are so many hilarious people in the ensemble cast. Lately Sarah Jessica has been hitting the European press circuit for the movie looking amazing... Hopefully she'll be pulling out all the stops when she promotes the movie here in the US next week.

I want to know what look you love the best...

Which Sarah Jessica Parker Look Do You Love?

In ♥ With This: Zoe Saldana in Prabal Gurung

Zoe Saldana in Prabal Gurung Resort 2012

The actress, whose upcoming film Colombiana opens Friday, looked absolutely smashing while attending the Neo Golden Age party in Los Angeles last week. In my opinion she totally nailed this look, rocking 3 pieces from Prabal Gurung's Resort 2012 collection. The key to the pure amazingness? The layering! First there's a hot pink tank that's been layered over a textured sleeve tee. Pure styling genius. Zoe also incorporates a little color blocking with this kelly green mini from the collection. She kept the accessories basic and muted - a fab Alexander McQueen skull clutch and some strappy sandals - which let clothing shine. All in all it's so fabulous! I'm inspired! Happy Tuesday loveys! xoxo

Look Of The Day: Jaime King in Valentino

Jaime King in Valentino

Ohhh. Emmm. GORGEOUSNESS. This was my exact reaction upon seeing Jaime King in this stunning Valentino gown. The actress, who co-hosted a benefit at the Soho House in West Hollywood for the celebrity charity Stand Up To Cancer last week, absolutely shined in her floor length stunner. I thought this dress might potentially be vintage but after searching, much to my surprise, it's from the Fall 2011 Ready To Wear collection. It was styled quite differently for the runway show and I have to admit I think I like Jamie's choice better:

the gown on Valentino Fall 2011 Runway

I think the deep V in the back is much more sexy and the higher neckline is much more flattering than the one strap going across. The chartreuse is such an unexpected twist which really gives it an antique look. With the gown having so much intricate detail, I really appreciate her minimalistic approach to the accessories and jewelry. Simple bun, light makeup and lovely jewelry. I'm wearing a similar style dress (floor length, open back, fun pattern but sleeveless) to a wedding in September and I'd like to emulate this whole look for the event. Including these gorgeous Bulgari diamond earrings.

Jaime King wearing a Saint Vintage Designs necklace and Bulgari earrings

Also being launched at the benefit was jewelry line Saint Vintage Designs fall collection. She's wearing one of their fabulous necklaces above.

What do you guys think? Are you feeling this vintage inspired gown and jewels? Do tell! xoxo

Steal Her Look For Less: Hot Pink Clutch

Celebrities everywhere have been punching up their spring and summer looks with a fabulous accessory choice: A Hot Pink Clutch. Since it's pretty well known that I love anything pink - I am super excited about trying this trend out. With color all the rage for the past few seasons you can pair this handbag with ANY outfit and it would look amazing. I've got some celebrity choices to give you a few pointers and of course some affordable options for you to try!

Two of my style icons, Diane Kruger and Olivia Palermo, definitely proved that pink and other colors are a must combo. While Diane paired hers with a lace Vionnet dress for a Paris celebration, Olivia went bright color blocking with her tangerine Victoria Beckham dress (look familiar?) The color just pops on both outfits! Glee's resident germ-a-phob counselor Jayma Mays paired her Rebecca Minkoff clutch with a striped sparkling Reem Acra cocktail dress showing that hot pink is totally appropriate for a formal function. Try it at your next summer wedding! And finally one look I can't wait to try - Hot Pink with Neutrals (well I guess I already tried this!) Actress Michelle Monaghan let her handbag shine while attending a dinner in honor of Tory Burch. She paired the designer's Quinn dress with nude Christian Louboutin pumps and fuss free curly hair. All around love.

Here are some options for you to try! For more ideas I'd pair one of the textured clutches with a plain LBD or LWD. I've got tons of weddings and showers to go to this summer/fall. Hopefully I'll be able to do this more than once for a fresh look! p.s. if you want Olivia Palermo's exact clutch it's the Sondra Roberts' one from Nordstrom! :) Happy Trending!

In ♥ With This: Malin Akerman In Red Dress At Sucker Punch Red Carpet

Malin Akerman at the L.A. Premiere of Sucker Punch

Time for another edition of In ♥ With This! This time I'm featuring an actress who always surprises me (in mostly good ways) with her fashion choices. Malin Akerman is Swedish-Canadian which is probably why she's so freaking gorgeous - don't those Ice Blue eyes just pierce you! She usually isn't scared to take on a new trend or rock a funky look. Here Malin showed up to Grauman's Chinese Theatre on March 23 in Hollywood wearing a crimson gown that is supposedly from the Holmes & Yang Collection - duo of Katie Holmes and stylist Jeanne Yang (I haven't confirmed that.. but will keep you posted!) This slinky number is the perfect length - one of the hardest elements about wearing a longer dress. I also love the glittery gold belt she has cinched at the waist. Malin knows with her red hot color to keep everything else simple - what a knock out! Happy Friday Loves!

UPDATE: It is confirmed that Malik Akerman's long red dress is from the line Holmes & Yang. It's part of their Fall/Winter collection which will be out in stores later on this summer.

Red Hot!

You may remember this past summer when I first spoke about my love affair with red. It has only grown - especially with the addition of this little number to my closet. I just noticed that two of my favorite actresses sported red on the red carpets for their movie premieres.. Let's see if you're in as much love with them as I am.

I love both of these women in movies and in the fashion world. Here they are chosing bold red choices and look amazing. Rachel McAdams stepped onto the red carpet in Berlin wearing a gorg Michael Kors gown with leather straps. Her messy updo is sexy and keeps the whole look from being so polished - which I love. Those straps add playfulness to the floor sweeping dress and I am loving the back - it's TDF.

Cameron Diaz looks absolutely unbelievable walking the Green carpet for her new movie The Green Hornet. My favorite color to pair with red is nude - and she looks stunning! Her one shoulder Azzaro cocktail dress and Casedi pumps are fab. Cam was actually my inspiration for chopping of my hair into a short bob with bangs back in 2005 but I'm totally loving her longer curly locks here. Check out this closeup of her makeup (pink lips with a red dress - totally works on her) and of those killer arms she has:

How freaking gorgeous is she?!? Love it!
So loves - do tell... are you loving these looks? Have you braved rocking a red frock yet? If not - I
recommend you run out right now and grab one - no red carpet needed! In fact - we got one for my mom for Christmas and she LOVES it! If you want sexy back appeal like Rachel try this pick. Or for Cam's one shoulder cocktail style try this pick from LuLus or this one from ASOS. My one accessory pick when wearing this shade? Confidence!

Gimme Gimme More: Drew Barrymore's Fashion Whirlwind

Drew Barrymore has been a busy lady during the month of August. And she's kind of killed it  fashion wise lately. Drew's been spotted everywhere from London to NYC promoting her new film Going The Distance with on/off boyfriend Justin Long. She does a great job of mixing girly pieces with grungy edge creating a more sophisticated look than we've seen on her in the past. I'm loving it!

I love her ombré hair and she proves that seude pumps can go with anything. Plus that dress featured in the last photo - she bought it for $25.00 at a vintage store in Texas. Love Love Love! I'm defintiely inspired! Keep it up Drew!

Missoni = Summer of Love

Summer here in LA certainly has been a crazy one. One minute it's scorching and the next it's cool and windy. But no matter what the weather is I can't deny how much I love the summer. And there is one Italian fashion house that practically screams summer of love. Missoni has been pumping out crochet zig zag knits for almost 60 years. And while their brand has far surpassed clothing (They now have added hotels to their list of accomplishments!) they know cranking out gorgeous clothes is always the way to a boho-chic girl's heart. I can't exactly afford the beautiful pieces (yet) but that still hasn't stopped me from enjoying the designs everytime I see them. Let's take a look at some celebrities who have been loving Missoni during these summer months....

One of my personal style icons, Nicole Richie, is the very definition of boho chic. She's always wearing prints, fringe, flowy sleeves and kimono. I love it. And this Missoni maxi is no exception. Although I love Nicole as a blond - her dark hair and the cool blues and nudes in the dress compliment each other so well. Check out that tangerine cocktail ring - gorg! And of course I am loving her headwear from her amazing jewelry line House of Harlow. This is easy simple dressing - Missoni at it's finest.

Vanessa Hudgens has the boho-glam thing down pat. Here her shortened Missoni dress is youthful and fun while at an event in Malibu a few weeks ago. I love the blush and nude prints together - a major trend right now. The shape of Missoni waves are thicker and metallic. Feathered necklaces and beach waves are fantastic accessories for this outfit.

When your mom is Goldie Hawn is pretty safe to say that you will be a free spirit. And I think at one point or another every girl had said they would love to be Kate Hudson. It's hard not to with her massive mop of blond curls and million dollar smile. She's every bit of her mother especially in the fashion department. Here Kate was filming scenes for her new movie in a mini-print Missoni caftan. I love how the fashion house can have all different kinds of prints - yet at the end of the day - you know it's a Missoni. Paired with her natural curls, bright headband and dark sunnies - she looks like the epitome of summer.

If you're the luckiest girl in the world - like Margherita Missoni - you have a never ending supply of zig zag designs, crochet tops and gorgeous maxi dresses. And anytime she dons something from her family's label its amazing how effortlessly chic she looks. Whether she's wearing a body-con dress or flowing skirt her inner (and outer!) hippie proves that she really is a Missoni love child. I love that Margherita's personal style shines through even though she's supporting her family's fashion house. Adding accessories like tribal inspired necklaces in the second look or her braided headband in the third look add extra bits of glam to the already gorgeous clothing.

In ♥ With This: Eva Mendes' Watercolor Dress

I'm loving everything about this photo right now. The dress. The shoes. The pose. The woman! Eva Mendes is pure gorgeousness at the NYC after party for the premiere of her new movie The Other Guys. Even better that she wore this same look - but a bit more casual for her appearance on Regis & Kelly earlier that morning. Love a look that goes from Day to Night. ♥

Pom Yourself! Rachel Bilson in Lanvin Pom Sandals

I've been obsessing over these Lanvin Flower Pom sandals ever since I spotted them on Rachel Bilson last week. She's wearing one of my favorite spring trends - the colored shoe. I became even more obsessed when one of my lucky co-workers walked in yesterday sporting the black ones! Jealous! Check out the close up of these happy shoes:

I love the playfulness of the flower and the color! So Fabulous. They definitely brighten up any outfit and Rachel definitely provides a burst of refreshment wearing them instead of sky high stilettos for a night out on the town. So after seeing them up close and in person I had to figure out a way to get them. The original price tag of $585 is a little too steep for my budget right now and I was able to find them for a bit cheaper but not in my size. So after careful researching - I found another budget fashionista who MADE her own Lanvin Flower Pom Sandals. Yes that's right gals - Made them! Check out her final product below

Not too bad! Find out exactly how she did it here. (And check out her amazing DIY Louboutin petal sandals - She might be my new favorite DIY fashion blogger!) Of course every girl would love to own the real thing - but making your own for way less is pretty fantastic! And you could pick any color your heart desires. I just might be tempted to invite some girlfriends over, drink some wine and create some Flower Pom sandals of our own! Happy Tuesday!!

Ladies In Red

Red dresses have always been a part of fashion and red carpets but we’ve been seeing them more frequently throughout the summer. Whether our favorite fashionistas are sporting shorter hemlines or long trains – each looks gorgeous and sexy – in their own way. We’ve already seen Jessica Alba in a TDF (to die for) dazzling Valentino gown while running around France. Let’s see what other celebrities are seeing red…

Claire Danes, also clad in a Valentino frock, is a long way from when we first met her on MTV’s My So Called Life. The ruffles and long sleeves are a perfection pairing with the short hemline. Claire’s Nude t-straps are my favorite color choice for short red dresses. They lengthen her legs and the stud embellishments add a bit of edginess to the ruffled dress. (Check out that clutch she’s carrying – dying!) To be honest, I normally don’t turn to Angelina for the newest trends. And while she always looks stunning on the red carpet she tends to stick to basic and darker colors. I mean no one can wear leather like Ange. But she really stunned me here with her floor length Atelier Versace gown during her overseas Salt tour. Can you say Va Va Voom? Stepping out of her color comfort zone she totally kills it in this lipstick red. Nevertheless Angelina still rocks her trademark “Vixen” look – tousled hair and MAJOR red lips.

I’d never thought I would love a head to toe Red look – but Kate Bosworth changed my mind the second I saw this photo of her at a dinner last week. Red Dress, Red Heels, Red Jacket, Red Lips. What more do you need? Absolutely Nothing…. I love that she kept her makeup and hair simple and just added a small gold necklace. Perfection! Resident vampire cutie Ashley Greene is quickly climbing my favored list of fashion risk takers. She’s never afraid to wear classic pieces or go fashion forward like she did with this Raven Kauffman Couture dress. Usually I am not a fan of black shoes with red dresses – but she makes it work here. The dress’ lines are clean, simple, understated but hot! I love that it has a higher neck yet she’s showing some skin by baring shoulders and leg - Proof that you don’t have to go mega short to be sexy.

Last but not least – the beautiful Jessica Biel. For a girl who said sometimes she “can’t be bothered by fashion” she certainly dominates both red carpets and the streets with her flawless pairings. (It probably helps that her body is ridiculous too!) At the London A Team premiere She takes a cue from Kate paring her gorgeous crimson gown with red shoes. But the black waistband shows off her amazing shape and gives a little pop to dress. And of course – every girl knows diamonds always look good with red.

I don’t know about you – but these ladies are inspiring me right this very moment! I have a fun dinner tonight and I haven’t broken out my awesome Zac Posen red dress which you can now purchase for a STEAL… perhaps tonight will be the night!
