Steal Her Look: Olivia Munn in Sole Society
I don't know about you, but I really love it when a celeb sports affordable fashion. Of course I absolutely adore seeing them in their gorgeous gown, sky high Loubs and glittering gems - that's part of the perks of their job! But whenever they slip on something from Zara, H&M or {gasp} Target, it just makes them seem slightly more down to earth. Case & Point: Olivia Munn and her Sole Society shoes.
Olivia's movie "The Babymakers" came out this summer and she had a slew of red carpet, television and award appearances. It was super rad to see her pair incredibly affordable footwear with pretty dresses, pencil skirts and even a casual jeans & tank look. Proof that you really can wear 1 shoe many different ways.
My favorite choice (and a pair I recently ordered) that Olivia wore is the Viola Button Heel Platform Sandal. This shoe comes in 2 colors, Dusty Rose (4th photo) & Taupe (1st photo) I love that both outfits have a "girly-coolness" vibe whether she's dressed up or slightly dressed down. The playful leopard under sole and button detail on the heel are fabulous small touches. (Note: I bought this pair, but it runs a little small so I'm waiting for my 1/2 size up to arrive!)
Olivia also got fancy with the Tori Color Block Peep Toe in Camel (2nd & 5th photo) and went with the classic nude Raffie Woven Platform Pump (3rd photo)
So what do you guys think? Do you like her SS choices? Have you gotten any of the above that you love? What did you pair them with.. I want to know! P.S. All of her shoe choices are still available for purchase. Just click any of the links above or click here to sign up for Sole Society!

Steal Her Look for Less: Blake Lively in Lanvin
TopShop Eagle Necklace // H&M Chiffon Blouse // ASOS Tux Pants with Satin Trim // Steve Madden Realove Sandal
Throughout the month of July, Blake Lively hit the press circuit hard promoting her new movie, "Savages." {which was pretty good P.S.!} Showing up on red carpets, TV appearances and photo calls, the "Gossip Girl" star looked absolutely smashing in everything she wore. I just adore the way she styles her looks (yep, girl doesn't use a stylist) because it always looks fresh and fun.
When Blake showed up for an interview on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" I practically swooned over her feminine twist on the menswear trend. I knew I just had to find a look for less. Sleek tuxedo pants and a white shirt are perfectly balanced with her larger than life crystal Eagle necklace. It's an element of surprise with classic pieces. Simple black ankle strap sandals (that can be worn over and over again) were a smart and sexy finishing touch. Keep your pants cropped and tailored so that your look doesn't veer into baggy territory.
Tip: If you can't find an eagle necklace (though there are a TON out there, I just looked) you can always have a DIY moment with a large brooch and chain. Lastly, pair any type of clutch with this look. For me, a pop of neon would be the icing on the cake. Happy Tuesday lovelies!

Golden Globe Jewelry Trends: Guest Post
I'm so thrilled to share with you guys my latest Guest Post!! Chelsea over at Haute Child in the City asked me to post for her while she is going this next phase in life called Mommyhood! A few weeks ago she and her hubby welcomed a handsome little man named Liam. So when she asked me write something I was so excited to pitch in and help out as she makes this transition. Chelsea and I actually "met" through another blogger, Pursuit of Shoes, but instantly bonded over all things sparkly and the fact that we're both North Carolinians! She lives in my hometown Raleigh and I'm hoping on my next trip home we can actually meet in person! Meanwhile, head over to her site to see a few jewelry trends I discovered during the Golden Globes and, of course, some affordable options for you to try! Happy Thursday! xoxo

Steal Her Look For Less: Kate Middleton in Temperley London
How does that saying go - "If it ain't broke don't fix it"? It sure seems like Kate Middleton is taking that phrase to heart. From her gorgeous colorful Issa dresses to her long sleeved wedding gown, she's really made quite the "lacey" fashion statement. Some might consider this fabric to be old fashioned and beyond it's time. Yet she's proven how extremely modern and somewhat sexy it can be. Perhaps it helps that she's got that mega-watt smile and the shiniest hair known to man. Either way, no one was surprised how gorgeously stunning she looked at the London War Horse premiere on Sunday night. Wearing a sweeping black lace gown from Temperley London, the Duchess showed why she's every bit a piece of regal royalty.
The nude underlay offers the look of a skin-bearing sheath keeping the look fresh, fun and current. And while her floor length dress is perfect for a red carpet appearance, I want to translate this elegant style for the everyday woman. And of course, stay on budget! After all, we might all think we're princesses (present company included) but not all of us actually are....

Steal Her Look For Less: Giuliana Rancic's Statement Shoe
A few weeks ago I posted about a fabulous LOD I caught on Giuliana Rancic while she attended Chelsea Lately. It ended up being one of the more popular posts on the blog and I've gotten lots of emails and Facebook comments about it. So when I recently found 3 pairs of statement shoes at an amazing price that would get you a similar style I had to let you know! Just a reminder here is Giuliana's outfit and her amazing Giuseppe Zanotti shoes I fell in love with:
While I am sure most of you have $1,500 lying around - I don't. And even though this could be a SUPER easy and absolutely fun DIY, I still found some fabulous statement shoes that any woman could wear when she wants her shoes to take center stage. Ready....
Here's the coveted pair: Guiseppe Zanotti E10089 - Retails for $1,500.

Steal Her Look For Less: Cameron Diaz's White Jumpsuit Look
Hello Summer! While temperatures continue to rise, actress Cameron Diaz looks cool as a cucumber as she promotes her latest movie Bad Teacher in Cancun, Mexico. This white-hot ensemble is the perfect combination of summertime, chicness and effortless style. A dark denim jacket from Current/Elliot pops against the crispness of her the A.L.C white jumpsuit. Cameron also keeps accessories fuss free and easy with adorable espadrille sandals (supposedly Christian Louboutin) and a turquoise necklace that brightens up the look. Usually I'm not a fan of white wedges - but for some reason those shoes are calling out to me! And the burst of color from the necklace is so fabulous and such a fantastic styling tip for the coming warmer days. To avoid sweating to death from wearing too much jewelry one strand of beads doubled is great accessory balance. You'll have a little flair without feeling weighed down by tons of baubles. She's also wearing one of my fav staples for summer wear - a denim jacket. In the evenings (believe it or not it does cool down in some places!) it can be a great outfit topper and one of the best things to pack for a trip. You can pair it with dresses, pants and/or shorts (but please never do denim-on-denim). While Cam's jacket alone could set you back almost 300 dollars, I've found some great go-to options that keep your budget in check:
I'm seriously obsessed with both of those wedges and that Gap jacket. You can try re-creating this look Ă la Ms. Diaz or wear the pieces separately with other items in your closet. How fab would those necklaces look with a LBD or jeans and a tee? Either way your style will look fresh at that next BBQ you're attending. Happy Monday!

Steal Her Look For Less: Hot Pink Clutch
Two of my style icons, Diane Kruger and Olivia Palermo, definitely proved that pink and other colors are a must combo. While Diane paired hers with a lace Vionnet dress for a Paris celebration, Olivia went bright color blocking with her tangerine Victoria Beckham dress (look familiar?) The color just pops on both outfits! Glee's resident germ-a-phob counselor Jayma Mays paired her Rebecca Minkoff clutch with a striped sparkling Reem Acra cocktail dress showing that hot pink is totally appropriate for a formal function. Try it at your next summer wedding! And finally one look I can't wait to try - Hot Pink with Neutrals (well I guess I already tried this!) Actress Michelle Monaghan let her handbag shine while attending a dinner in honor of Tory Burch. She paired the designer's Quinn dress with nude Christian Louboutin pumps and fuss free curly hair. All around love.
Here are some options for you to try! For more ideas I'd pair one of the textured clutches with a plain LBD or LWD. I've got tons of weddings and showers to go to this summer/fall. Hopefully I'll be able to do this more than once for a fresh look! p.s. if you want Olivia Palermo's exact clutch it's the Sondra Roberts' one from Nordstrom! :) Happy Trending!

Steal Her Look For Less: Kate Middleton in Jenny Packham
The Duke & Dutchess of Cambridge
Oh. My. Goodness. I am not sure if it's the purple carpet, the dress or that smile but Catherine Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton) looked absolutely smashing last night. She and the Duke attended the 10th annual Absolute Return for Kids [ARK] Gala in London for their first official appearance as a married couple. And she really has outdone herself here. Catherine (or Kate... I'm not really sure what to call her now!) wore a gorgeous rose colored Jenny Packham gown (on sale now for $3,515 but I am sure not for long!) with sequin, crystal and beaded detail. You might think it looks familiar as Leighton Meester wore it in Gossip Girl a few weeks ago. She paired it with L.K. Bennett bow sandals, a rose colored clutch and simple earrings. Stunning.
So beautiful!

Steal Her Look For Less: Celebrities in Gucci Spring/Summer 2011

Clockwise from top left: Olivia Wilde, Kerry Washington, Camilla Belle & Jennifer Lopez - Fans of Gucci
I've been obsessing over the fact that COLOR! is so major right now! Based on the runways of Jil Sander, Versace, Jason Wu, Proenza Schouler, DKNY and so many more, it was a known fact that your wardrobe must be bright! And while sometimes color can be a little scary for those who stick to a neutral pallete, I think it's a great way to spruce up your look. This season's Gucci collection has been all about the color. Rich jewel tones with splashes of Gold make up the base while cut-outs and plunging necklines are just a few of the added details that make the S/S pieces so special. Plus I've noticed TONS of celebrities wearing the line over the past few months. Olivia Wilde and Camilla Belle are just a few...
And as of two weeks ago, Gucci S/S 2011 clothing has actually been featured on over 50 magazine covers [not to mention all the editorials I've seen too]. Pretty fabulous! I was totally inspired by this collection [take a look at the print campaign here and the runway show here] and determined to find some looks for less to add into my closet. I found that one store was delivering big time with this trend: Zara. I had been hunting everywhere for a Pink Maxi skirt that could match a look I saw at S/S 2011 Jil Sander runway show and Ashley texted me with a find! $60 bucks at Zara! (Hey that beats the 985 price tag!) So I rushed over to the Santa Monica Promenade location. The minute I walked into the store it was as if the rainbow exploded all over the place - in the best possible way. Oranges, Pinks, Greens and Blues were everywhere and in basic pieces like blazers, pants, mini skirts. I was in color heaven! I've always liked Zara but after all the pieces I fell in love with now I am obsessed! I want to share my finds with you dear readers but unfortunately for us, Zara doesn't have a U.S. online shopping site. However you can click on each piece below and be directed to the right place on the site to find what you're looking for. There you can find the colors and sizes that each one comes in and stalk your nearest Zara.
Plus I think there are so many more options than this actually in the store - you've just got to search for them! (That blue dress is so gorgeous and comes in Green, Pink, Yellow and White! Perfect for an outdoor wedding!) If you scoop anything up - let me know what you find.. I promise that you will not be disappointed!! :)

Steal Her Look For Less: Carrie Underwood's Green Sequin ACM Dress
Although I couldn't find an exact match to the Farah Angsana sequin dress Carrie wore, there are plenty of ways to add sparkle to any frock. Stick to an all over solid color. I like both of the emeralds pictured but this look would look fabulous in a rich purple or royal blue. Add a belt like the French Connection piece or a broach at the hip of the gown for a little "frost" and depth. Or if you can find a sequin choice - all the better! I love that Carrie kept her look simple and clean. A pair of platform nude shoes elongate the legs and look classically pretty with the short hemline. Since you want the dress to be the main focus of this outfit keep the jewelry to a minimum. A chunky bracelet and some crystal drop earrings are perfect accessories. A black clutch is the finishing touch and voilĂ ! Rock your look on a fancy date night or fun night out. Can't wait to see if you gals Go Green and try this out! Happy Thursday! xoxo

Steal Her Look For Less: Diane Kruger in Dolce & Gabbana

Wowza!! Diane Kruger is a style Goddess. I love how she just absolutely nails every look she wears - even if it's a little quirky or different. The woman can pull off almost anything and it always looks effortless. [A well known secret about Diane - she doesn't even use a stylist!] She's also known for wearing a lot of pieces straight off the runway including this one! Diane attended the Westwood premiere of her new film Unknown wearing this gorgeous Dolce & Gabana white lace dress with embellishments and a pair of amazing Brian Atwood nude pumps. This outfit would be perfect for attending a girls night out or a fun date and can easily be recreated. The LWD was a major part of spring trends on the runway so you will be right on the style track with this choice. I am not sure the exact price on the Dolce & Gabana dress - it's from the Spring 2011 line - I am sure the price tag is pretty hefty. The pumps will set you back about $600. Lucky for you I have found some amazing choices at fabulous prices so you can recreate this look.
If you're worried about showing too much skin or don't feel as comfortable as Diane - don't worry! Choose a one shoulder look to keep you more covered up or try a cute cap sleeve. You will still look sexy and feel good too. If all you can find is a lace dress - feel free to add on the sparkle yourself! Try a cool rhinestone necklace to get her collar effect or an embellished skinny belt (H&M & Forever 21 are your best bet for inexpensive choices or make your own by grabbing this Express skinny belt, some fabric glue and a handful of rhinestones from the craft store - super easy!!) As for the pumps - try and pick a color that best suites your skin tone. Nude shoes are a perfect way to elongate your gams and make them even more fab than they already are. (Check out another one of Diane's LWD/Nude shoe combos here) Wear diamond studs and a simple bracelet or cocktail ring and out the door you go!
Happy weekend loves! xoxoxo
