Outfit Post: Neon Green Skater Dress

What's a girl to do when that dress she orders arrives and it's, well, waaaaay too short to be an actual dress, but she still loves it oh-so-much? Well you take those lemons and you make a top out of it!

American Eagle jeggings
Zara metallic pumps (sold out - try these instead)
Spicer Bags "Carryall" multi-color cork clutch with gold tassel
Ruti Horn gold cuffs c/o
Maybelline Vivids lipstick in "Fuchsia Flash"

I've been searching forever for a neon green skater dress ever since I missed out on scoring the one during H&M's 2009 Conscious Collection release. So when this one arrived, and I knew it was going to be way too short to wear without something on the bottom, I thought why not make it a top? Add on some distressed skinnies and boom, instant brunch outfit.

If you're in the Raleigh area, come shopping with me! This Thursday from 5-7. I'll be at The Impeccable Pig and you'll get 20% off full priced items! Including their newest fall arrivals (yay!) Hope to see you there!

Outfit Post: Sunday Fall Brunchin'

We made it to Friday folks! I don't know about you, but this week has felt long and I plan to thoroughly enjoy the weekend. One of my favorite weekend activities to do with Bill is brunch. But let's get real.. I also really love a good Brunch Outfit!

The Impeccable Pig "Collide" Slip Dress (still available online!)
Target Chambray Button up (old but similar budget option)
Sole Society "Heather" Ankle Booties (so old but love these at DSW. Use code OCTOBERFUN for discount!)
GiGi New York "All In One" Clutch (gifted)
Flash Tattoos (ummm my new obsession) || Swell Caroline Anchor Bracelet (gifted) || Caravelle New York Gold Watch (gifted) || Vintage Sunglasses (similar option) || Maybelline Vivids Lipstick in "Fuchsia Flash"

Last Sunday we headed to one of our favs, Joule Coffee, which has the best tasting cappuccino in town! I was also still rocking my flash tattoos from last week's Game Day outfit (which is coming soon and I can't wait to share) These tattoos are my new jam you guys. I've been wanting a real tattoo (see my pinterest board) and these have been a nice fix for now! I LOVE them.

We're at that point in the seasons where it's cooler in the morning, but still gets warmer throughout the day. This is my idea of a "transitional outfit." I love this dress from The Impeccable Pig and I don't plan to stop wearing it just because summer is over. To combat against the temperature changes, I paired my frock with ankle booties and tied a chambray shirt around my waist, to throw on in the early morning or later evening hours. So 90's I know, but I'm really into that whole vibe right now.

What are some of your transitional dressing tricks? I want to try some of this season :) Leave them below in your comments. Happy Friday! xoxo

Brunch Date x The Stylist LA

Do you ever have those moments when you just feel so behind?! That's me right now.. like I didn't even realize that today was actually the 1st of April! This whole moving thing really has me out of wack! Anyways, let's just pretend we're still in March for this month's collab with The Stylist LA ;)

Well we're officially in Wedding season! Which means luncheons, brunches, showers and more! When I visited the Stylist LA's office to choose my next look, we thought this would perfect for a dressed up Spring Occasion.

Dress: Parker Bow Back Dress in Light Pink - borrow for $60
Studded Ankle Booties: Zara
Bag: DSW (old)
Bracelets: Gifted from my BFF

Attention all bride-to-bes! This would be SUCH an adorbs dress for your next wedding soiree! So perfect for a daytime bridal luncheon or wedding shower. I am in love with the open back because the bow still gives a slight hint of sexiness but definitely doesn't overdo it. (Plus with a little help from double stick tape, I was able to wear a regular bra - bonus!) I also like the tiered middle because it breaks up the body a bit and hides problem areas well!

But if you're not engaged or already married - don't worry. You can still totally rock this dress. I borrowed it for a nice rooftop brunch while we toasted a great friend. I wanted to create a slightly more casual look, so I paired it with messy waves and my favorite studded ankle booties. But throw on a pair of high heels sandals with an elegant pony and you've got yourself a surefire fancy-fied (yes I just made that word up) outfit.

If you need more information on The Stylist LA check it out here and here. I guarantee they're going to be your new go-to for outfits. I've got about a bazillion weddings this summer so I can't wait to see what they'll have next!
