Outfit Post: Jumpsuit Lovin'

Remember when I talked about this lattice cut out halter jumpsuit on my My Carolina Today segment? Well, the truth is, I basically haven't taken it off since then. I've worn it dressed up and casually (aka the perfect vacay item) and I swear if I could wear it to work, workout in and sleep, I would! It is SO comfy. Which is why I thought it was the perfect choice for my first night of #SBScon!

I'll admit - sometimes I dance to the beat of a different drum when it comes to my outfits. I'm experimental and I wear things because I like them, not necessarily because I want other people to like them (though I love hearing that they do!) This outfit is kind of one of those times.

I know belt bags aren't for everyone, but trust me when I tell you that you should try them. I officially have 3 and I am OBSESSED with them. They're so perfect for a night out with girls (hello double fisting the champs) but these days you can find such cute options that look more modern chic and less "I'm-a-tourist-at-Disneyland"

Do you have a style or piece of clothing that you were scared to wear at first, but now you love? I feel like that's the case with everything in this post (jumpsuit, belt bag, mules) Which is why I really encourage you gals to take a chance on your fashion choices. Even if it's just a small one. You never know when you might find your new favorite thing!

Outfit Post: Lemons On My Pants

If you live in Charleston, I basically have major [blog] envy. There are SO MANY gorgeous places to take photos! We walked around Sunday afternoon before heading home from SBScon and I fell in love with Waterfront Park (aka the Pineapple Fountain). Just freaking gorgeous! Thankfully, Lindsay was with me and snapped some photos underneath these bowing trees. 

Also I have lemons on my jeans and clearly, I couldn't let this outfit pass by the blog!

There's something just so comforting about jeans and a tee, right? Thankfully these lemon print jeans (from Talbot's!) totally step up my comfy and casual outfit game. Not only do they fit so well (and I still ate lots and lots of brunch in them) but they are just the cutest. They also come in every size from 0 to 24, which makes them perfect for every gal! I still feel like I'm going through Charleston withdrawals. Getting back to my regular 9-5 work has been a bit tough. It was just so lovely to be around ladies (and 1 guy!) who totally understand this little blogging world. I'm so thankful for all the new #IRL friendships I formed! Oh and did I mention taking outfit photos was a breeze (thanks Linds!) I can't wait to share more details with you!

Outfit Post: Pink, White & Blue with BooHoo

I can't believe we're already at Monday again! Thankfully, this pom pom trim romper from BooHoo is lifting my spirits. We went to a concert in the middle of Downtown Raleigh on the 4th of July, so I finally had the chance to sport some "music festival" style.

Pretty fitting after this weekend's 4th of July and the 2015 Women's World Cup USA win, right? #WeAreUSA is about celebrating the unique personalities that are expressed through fashion, and embracing the differences in everyone’s individual style and identity. I know that it's tradition to wear Red, White & Blue for 4th of July, but since I have very little red and lots of pink, I just switched it out and still felt festive. How cute is this pom pom romper? I wore it Saturday night when we went to the Barenaked Ladies concert at Red Hat. Which P.S., is the perfect summer venue! The weather, the city lights, the fireworks. It was a fantastic Saturday night. Plus, I finally got the chance to sport these new ankle booties, which I walked around Downtown all night in and my feet were still comfy.
