Outfit Post: Little Black Skater Dress

A few weeks ago, I told you about the amazing Moon & Lola preview night I went to. I also shared a sneak peek of this outfit that you guys went gaga for over on instagram. Well here is the final look. I love this outfit for a few reasons.

1) It's kind of fancy (insert Iggy Azalea. "I'm so fancy... you already know...")

2) I was actually having a good hair day - and I think every gal can appreciate when that actually happens (am I right? *imagine hand raised emoji here*)

Two Tone Ombre Hair Color

3) There's a party in the bacccckkkkkk! We all know tassel lariat necklaces are fun to layer in the front. But turn it around for an unexpected and dramatic look - perfect with an evening dress or backless top.

I so wish that this Sole Society tassel lariat necklace wasn't still out of stock.. I keep holding out hope that they'll bring it back. The second, and I mean the second they bring it back... I'll let you know!

So in person, this shirt is black. The tag even said the color was "Ebony." But, after we photographed this outfit, it kind of looks navy. Which I really don't mind all that much since I'm kind of into the black-navy color combination. So let's just pretend I did it on purpose. Maybe you can help me decide if it's black or navy.

I wore this a few weeks ago for a double date night with some friends of ours. Sometimes, I just need to wear a black-on-navy black ensemble with my new favorite color: Gold. Okay, so it's not my "new" favorite color, but I'm becoming increasingly obsessed with it. Remember when you were younger, and you were like "I'm only wearing silver jewelry." Well, that was me. And that's the thing I love about fashion. You can totally change your mind. Which I proudly do on the reg.

I also have some exciting news for local Raleigh/Durham gals! The award winning fashion documentary "Versailles 73: American Runway Revolution" is coming to town for a one night only screening. And I've been asked to participate in a panel discussion afterwards! I would LOVE to see you there. All the details can be found on the below invite or here. Tickets are now on sale and it's the perfect excuse to get dressed up with your friends and have a girls night out!
