Red Carpet Fashion: Screen Actors Guild Awards 2011

Happy Monday loveys! Yesterday we saw some gloomy weather here in L.A. but that didn't stop the celebs looking fab on the red carpet for the 2011 SAG Awards. I've been so busy that I haven't even gotten to watch the show yet... but I did stay up past my bedtime to catch up on the red carpet (obvi!) It seems like with Spring right around the corner many ladies decided they wanted to wear the colors of the rainbow. Blues, Oranges, Reds and Violets were the most picked colors (and this best supporting actress nominee's colorful choice - she can pull it off only because she's 15!). Winter white was a popular color and an up and coming trend spotted - Belts are making a comeback! Another red carpet where I wasn't super impressed but still a handful of ladies looked great. I wanted to try out a poll for this round of Red Carpet Fashion - I love hearing your thoughts too.. so vote on the poll and leave me a comment below about your fav choice!

Mila Kunis in Alexander McQueen

It's pretty hard not to look amazing when you wear a fashion genius - but Mila Kunis knocks this watercolor Alexander McQueen gown way out of the park. She looks s-t-u-n-n-i-n-g. Water color prints can be so gorgeous when worn correctly and Mila let's this dress sing. The belt breaks it up and shows off her shape without feeling too out of place. I love that she kept everything simple - right down to her neutral nails. Mila is a fan of ombré hair as well wearing hers down and with waves. And for the icing on the cake - She wore this ahhhh-mazing Cartier tiger bracelet with diamonds and emeralds worth $270,000 - totally perfect.

Lea Michele in Oscar de la Renta
Apparently the SAG awards seems to be Lea Michele's strong point - both last year and this year. While her 2010 & 2011 Globes choices were quite.. well scary... last night she definitely brought her A-game. Choosing a plunging neckline this beaded Oscar dress fits her body to a T and was one of a several ladies to wear a white/nude color. This is another great example of a belt - showing off just enough shape and still letting the dress take center stage. Since this gown is super sexy Lea kept the same vibe going with her touseled waves (which I love short) and smokey makeup. Three diamond bracelets and one sparkling pear-shaped diamond from Tiffany's were the only accessories this gal needed. Fab!

January Jones in Carolina Herrera
Although January Jones said she likes to dress more fashion forward to steer away from her Mad Men alter-ego Betty Draper, she certainly channeled some sort retro siren for Sunday's red carpet. The lace detail on this gown designed by Carolina Herrera is ah-maze. I never would have thought gold lace would have looked this beautiful - but paired with the mermaid hemline this dress truly looks like a vintage beauty. Her blond locks look sleek and softly scultpted and 8 carat black diamond earrings provide the finishing touches on this all around elegant look. Very Grace Kelly.

Hilary Swank in Versace

Hilary Swank looks positively dreamy in this nude Versace one shoulder gown. Normally I'm not a huge fan of hers fashion wise - but I think this looks great! The crystal and intricate beading is delicate and I'm loving the twist/rouching on her waistline - super flattering. Hilary told Guliana Rancic "When I work out, I work out hard; about 4 days a week" It definitely shows because her body looks sick. She too sported curled ombré waves and carried a crystal VBH clutch. This who look just screams (or sighs) romantic.
I know it's not as many as I usually choose... but that's all I truly loved. I thought Julie Bowen was a huge risk taker with her Catherine Malandrino jumpsuit... I just didn't feel that it was Red Carpet appropriate. I also was forming a love/hate relationship with Eva Longoria's Georges Hobeika choice too...
Vote in my poll below to tell me who you loved out of my choices - or if you loved someone else - vote Choice #5 and let me know in the comments section. Have a fabulous week! xoxo
