Hiiiiii! I'm finally back from my whirlwind NYC week. I have so much goodness to share with you lovelies too! Also, a BIG thank you to my guest bloggers who kept BAD going.. I heart you ladies!

Attended a fabulous party at Bagatelle in Meatpacking for Fashion's Night Out thrown by Oxygen

Style spotted some fab fashion on dudes too! Oxfords and cuffed ankles on Chris at IFB / HauteLook stylist Victor rocked an ombre chambray with a bow tie

 

Got to have brunch with a few Lucky Magazine editors at Dream Downtown - gorgeous lights!

 

Sole Society invited me to their Fall preview in Soho.. I MUST have these lace up wedge booties!

 

Spent the week living like college roomies again with my lovely {and gorgeous} friend Amanda!

 

No shows for me this go round - but I did spend about 4 hours snapping street style pics at Lincoln Center

Guest Blogger: Outfit Post: Mixing Prints

While I am in NYC, I've asked a few lovely ladies to keep BAD going by guest posting. I'm excited to share their sites with you and hope you love them as much as I do. :) Here is Elizabeth from Port Of Thoughts, or EC as I love to refer to her as. EC and I share a love for sports and men whose names begin with "B". She just had her first baby in March and I can't get over how incredible she looks - not to mention her "new mommy glow". One thing I love about BAD is getting everyday women to experiment with her look. Here, EC shares an outfit that she might not have tried a few years ago.....

Today I have the pleasure of guest posting for the lovely Nikki.  She has a

unique look at fashion and has become quite good at sharing her love for pretty

things on Bedazzles After Dark!  I love seeing how she pulls pieces together

that aren't traditionally matched up, yet look completely fabulous on her!

I'm showing you a look that had me stepping out of my
comfort zone, with animal print.  Two years ago I wouldn't have touched
animal anything!  I just simply didn't like it.  But tastes change and
so I found myself buying a piece here and there.  For this look I paired a
pair of silk leopard shorts and snake skin print heels.  I really liked the look
together and am now trying to find other tops to pair with this outfit for a fun night
time look. 

 

 I adore these shorts that I scooped up at a local boutique.  The lace trim
makes them even more fun and sassy but the elastic waist band makes for pure
comfort. 

 This look was put together for my birthday dinner out with my husband, B.  I
chose the bright orange top to go with my birthday gift, this fabulous orange GiGi NewYork

Thanks, Nikki for introducing me to this fabulous line.  I'm hooked!

Guest Blogger: Beauty Addicts Mascara Review

While I am in NYC, I've asked a few lovely ladies to keep BAD going by guest posting. Hello girls! I am Stephanie from the blog, A Brunette Duet! I know, I can hear all your moans of disappointment that Nikki isn't around to dazzle you! I really am sorry! I'm also sorry that I'm not the one going to Fashion Week. (Insert jealousy here! I am positively PEA GREEN with envy! Bonus points if you can name that movie!)   

Today I have a quick review for you of a new mascara I got! I don't know about you but I've never heard of the brand Beauty Addicts so when this mascara popped up in my Glossybox a month or two ago I was a little skeptical! Here is a picture of the packaging and the brush.

It's a very wet formula so you have to make sure you give it time to dry before blinking but it does give a nice dark look to your lashes while staying natural looking! The wear time on it is great, I've been wearing it all day with no smudging or flaking and application really wasn't very difficult, although I prefer a regular old plain fat bristles brush.  What can I say?  I'm a plain Jane.

I wanted to make a good impression and for some reason I thought taking a picture of my bare naked eye was a good idea.  It wasn't but I'm showing you anyway, so don't complain, you've been warned!

As a side note, it's horrible when your iPhone takes better pictures than your camera, isn't it?  Sad, sad day! Back to business, you can see the difference in the before and after! You can also see that it really darkens the lashes but doesn't provide a whole lot of volume.

It retails for $20 on the Beauty Addict website and to be completely honest, I don't think I'd spend the money on it had I not gotten it in a beauty box.  It's a nice mascara that I'm happy to use but it really doesn't do much more than a regular old drugstore mascara would do.
