Outfit Post: Lemons On My Pants

If you live in Charleston, I basically have major [blog] envy. There are SO MANY gorgeous places to take photos! We walked around Sunday afternoon before heading home from SBScon and I fell in love with Waterfront Park (aka the Pineapple Fountain). Just freaking gorgeous! Thankfully, Lindsay was with me and snapped some photos underneath these bowing trees.

There's something just so comforting about jeans and a tee, right? Thankfully these lemon print jeans (from Talbot's!) totally step up my comfy and casual outfit game. I still feel like I'm going through Charleston withdrawals. Getting back to my regular 9-5 work has been a bit tough. It was just so lovely to be around ladies (and 1 guy!) who totally understand this little blogging world. I'm so thankful for all the new #IRL friendships I formed! Outfit Post: Parisian Chic

Happy Fri-Yay friends! And Good Friday! This week has been a bit stressful. But when I remember what occurred today, it's also been pretty humbling. I'm thankful for many reasons that today is Good Friday and not because it's the start to the weekend!

I think this might be one of my favorite outfits ever. Probably just because Em is an amazing photographer. And this was a new spot for me. But there's something about this outfit that makes me feel very Parisian Chic.

We're in that awkward in between weather stage right now. It's technically spring but the temperatures haven't quite gotten there yet. Cool mornings and evenings but warm afternoons call for layering. Lots of layering! I've been wearing my camouflage jacket nonstop. It goes with just about everything....

You guys know my love for wide brim fedoras has no end. This Sole Society one is perfect and transitions from season to season. Fall, Winter, Spring. It's one of my favorite items in my wardrobe. Plus it's perfect to cover up those crazy bad hair days.  

Dresses, Jeans, Skirts - I seriously wear my camo jacket with everything! In this outfit, I mixed in a skull print scarf to keep it playful. I wish these glitter ankle boots were still available because I LIVE in them. Thanks to the printmixing, what could have just been a black-on-black casual look, just went up a few notches. Okay.. I know you're probably thinking all I wear is boyfriend jeans. And you're about half right. I know I should be focusing on fitness right now.. but there is just something about this time of year that makes me want to curl up with two okay three bowls of chili. This denim just lets me and my stomach breathe a little easier.

I don't know about where you are, but winter is coming in fast. It seems like Mother Nature just skipped right over fall and we're already into frigid temperatures. I'm going to the Justin Timberlake concert tomorrow (eeeeeek!) and I'm so happy it's inside because the low is 23!!! I'd rather not be bundled up like Randy from A Christmas Story thank-you-very-much. Not exactly bringing sexy back if you know what I'm sayin'..

Last weekend we went to visit my Mother-In-Law who had a grease fire accident in her kitchen. Thankfully, she's doing okay but it was a super low key and relaxed visit catching up with Bill's side of the fam. My MIL is a huge hat person (Uh hello... she's from Kentucky!) so I brought my new Sole Society hat with me because I knew she'd appreciate it. She (and Bill's sister) loved it!

 

Remember when I professed my love for the GiGi New York fall 2013 collection? I knew the burgundy color would be the perfect color not only for fall but for FSU game day. The cross body style is my new favorite thing to carry. It's so nice to have your hands (or the crook of your elbow) free. I'm a lucky lady - so far I've checked off 3 items from the Fall Wish List I shared with you guys last month. Thanks to Sole Society, my lust and search for the perfect black hat finally came to end when I got my hands on this one. I literally haven't stopped wearing it since the UPS guy delivered it last week (ideas on how to wear fall/winter hats here) I mean... it's perfection, right? You have to get one - it will not disappoint you. Also, would you believe me if I told you these booties are actually super comfy? Yeah.. I wouldn't believe me either. Except I walked around North Hills in them and trust me when I say they truly are. They added just the pop of fall color this black & white ensemble needed and I have some fabulous Game Day posts planned around them (stay tuned for that!)

 

I also wanted to share with you the best hot pink lipstick I've come across in a while. Now, you guys know I'm a Revlon girl at heart. But when I spotted the lipstick in this instagram picture, I knew I just had to discover the color. I was betting the farm that it'd be MAC's Candy Yum Yum so imagine my surprise when it turned out to be an under 6 bucks color. Instantly sold - instantly satisfied.
