Outfit Post: Spring Camo

We're in that awkward in between weather stage right now. It's technically spring but the temperatures haven't quite gotten there yet. Cool mornings and evenings but warm afternoons call for layering. Lots of layering! I've been wearing my camouflage jacket nonstop. It goes with just about everything....

You guys know my love for wide brim fedoras has no end. This Sole Society one is perfect and transitions from season to season. Fall, Winter, Spring. It's one of my favorite items in my wardrobe. Plus it's perfect to cover up those crazy bad hair days.  

Dresses, Jeans, Skirts - I seriously wear my camo jacket with everything! In this outfit, I mixed in a skull print scarf to keep it playful. I wish these glitter ankle boots were still available because I LIVE in them. Thanks to the printmixing, what could have just been a black-on-black casual look, just went up a few notches. How do you wear camo?

After finally giving in and buying these wedge sneakers I pondered on how to wear them. They're not exactly my usual style but I really wanted to step outside the box with them. Turns out - they're my new favorite item in my closet! And after Sally Hansen asked me to create a "Street Style" inspired nail design, I also got inspired with my wardrobe too!

 

The best part about this outfit? It's all 100% comfy - like an updated version of jeans & a tee. These leather panel leggings are PHENOM. I've worn them dressed up, casually, and every which way in between. L.O.V.E. Lastly, I topped off my look with messy waves and a smokey eye.

 

Bill & I finally have an apartment, we just bought a couch & I think we're getting a car on Wednesday which means that our life is (slowly?) getting back to normal. Which also means posting on BAD should be getting back to normal. Thanks for you patience and support during our BIG move! I heart you guys!! xo

 

Outfit Idea: Casual Chic Weekend Wear

As you have heard before, I am 100% totally obsessed with Pinterest. I can't get enough! There are so many great ideas floating around the internet and I love the idea of keeping everything in one neatly organized place. So far I've actually been able to try out many of the hairstyles, beauty tips and recipes (both healthy and yummy) from my boards.

But my absolute favorite thing that's inspiring me right now is... you guessed it! Fashion! I am so obsessed with seeing how everyday girls are rocking trends and putting their own spin on their unique style. Lately, I've been looking for great casual yet chic outfit ideas for my weekends. Don't get me wrong there's nothing I love more than throwing on my leggings, glittery flats and putting my hair in a top knot. But since my hubby works on most Saturdays, I'm usually spending them going to Starbs, browsing Target and running all my errands I can't do during the week. I'd like to look somewhat cute while doing so but without all the hassle of getting ready. So I found a few looks on Pinterest that I thought would be perfect and came up with two possible outfit ideas for Casual Chic Weekend Wear! And trust me... they're SUPER easy going.

Stripes are totally having a moment so why not wear them casually? Try wearing a long sleeve stripe tee or lightweight sweater with lighter skinny jeans and ankle booties. I personally can't stop wearing my Sole Society Heather wedge boots. They're so incredibly comfy because of the wedge heel and they go with literally everything in my closet. Stick to basic accessories like a cross body bag or mirrored aviators and Voilà! You're good to go run that mall errand!

If you want something a tiny bit more sophisticated but still low key enough to grab a few items from the market, look to option 2. Black skinnies pair perfectly with an oversize white button up or an on-trend chambray shirt. This option is from the classic store Woolrich and won't hurt your wallet at $59 bucks. Total combination of easy breezy style and glamour. Choose your comfiest black pumps and a retro pair of cat-eye sunglasses to round out your look. Maybe throw on some bangles or a few layered necklaces. But remember! We want this to be casual and fun.
