Yes, I know! More hats and sweaters. The temperatures this weekend dropped to the lower 20's (ahhh!) so this outfit was just perfect for a day in the upper 40's. We're in that awkward in between weather stage right now. It's technically spring but the temperatures haven't quite gotten there yet. You guys know my love for wide brim fedoras has no end. This Sole Society one is perfect and transitions from season to season. Fall, Winter, Spring. It's one of my favorite items in my wardrobe. Plus it's perfect to cover up those crazy bad hair days.  

Dresses, Jeans, Skirts - I seriously wear my camo jacket with everything! In this outfit, I mixed in a skull print scarf to keep it playful. I wish these glitter ankle boots were still available because I LIVE in them. Thanks to the printmixing, what could have just been a black-on-black casual look, just went up a few notches. How do you wear camo?

Dressing for fall is just the best. Give me a great pair of jeans, a cute pair of boots and a cozy sweater any day of the week. But the cherry on top? A fabulous fall hat to go with all that! This wine colored Sole Society fedora was just what my fall wardrobe was crying out for. It's rich in color and gives any look that special pop of punch. I love that I'll be able to dress it up with a fun dress and tights, or wear it casual like this outfit. 

I've been on a fedora kick the last couple years. Sole Society is just churning them out left and right. Did you see this navy option or this camel one? I mean how gorg are they?! If you haven't gotten on the Fedora Hat trend train yet, you better climb on because you're missing out! Try this one out first. It's just as colorful and perfect if you're on a budget. On a side note.. how is it already Monday? #sosleepy

I'm a lucky lady - so far I've checked off 3 items from the Fall Wish List I shared with you guys last month. Thanks to Sole Society, my lust and search for the perfect black hat finally came to end when I got my hands on this one. I literally haven't stopped wearing it since the UPS guy delivered it last week (ideas on how to wear fall/winter hats here) I mean... it's perfection, right? You have to get one - it will not disappoint you. Also, would you believe me if I told you these booties are actually super comfy? Yeah.. I wouldn't believe me either. Except I walked around North Hills in them and trust me when I say they truly are. They added just the pop of fall color this black & white ensemble needed and I have some fabulous Game Day posts planned around them (stay tuned for that!)

 

I also wanted to share with you the best hot pink lipstick I've come across in a while. Now, you guys know I'm a Revlon girl at heart. But when I spotted the lipstick in this instagram picture, I knew I just had to discover the color. I was betting the farm that it'd be MAC's Candy Yum Yum so imagine my surprise when it turned out to be an under 6 bucks color. Instantly sold - instantly satisfied.

I am literally jumping out of my printed pants because of today's post - yes it's that exciting! Over the summer I discovered Kelly's blog Messy Dirty Hair and fell in love with her honest and open approach to everything. Whether it's fashion, beauty, music or just life in general, she's always bringing a slice of humor and realness to her posts. So when I was asked to participate in Kelly's baby, #TheMessyProject for February, of course I jumped at the chance. But as soon as I got this nude high-low dress in the mail I was stoked. So many possibilities with this baby right? Take a look at what I came up with:

I absolutely loved this high-low frock but I wanted to dress it down a bit - make it more casual. Our L.A. weather has been so fickle lately so layering is key around here. I turned the dress into a skirt (one of my favorite styling tips by the way) and paired it with my go-to sparkly silver sweater. Then I played up the neutral palate with some brown ankle booties, a pink/nude necklace and this gem of a fedora I took from my dad's closet. My favorite part about this outfit? It can be worn fall or spring - super transitional! Oh and not to mention comfy!

I don't know about you, but I can't stop thinking about Winter Hats. Wide brims, ribbon/leather trims and an oversized fit literally make me giddy with glee. Hats are perfect to either to finish off a casual ensemble or dress down a fancy look in an unexpected way. And ever since I stole borrowed this hat from my Dad, I've been racking my brain on how to wear it.
