Every gal needs a camo jacket in her closet. It goes with everything and is perfect for a fall/winter outfit. I love pairing this one with mixed prints. There's just something about stripes and camouflage together isn't there? And even though my jacket is from last year, this one from L.L. Bean is a dead ringer.

P.S. It's seriously a total coincidence that I'm carrying some Starbie's in today's outfit post, which actually falls on National Coffee Day. I guess I just have good timing like that.

Last week you guys went crazy for this outfit on instagram, which is proof that mixed prints is still totally "A Do." And while I don't think I'll ever get tired of a mixed combo, it's nice to know that camo and leopard can still get some action together (it's one of my favorites) I know you guys love my loafers, but I'm telling you, these flats are a dead ringer and such a good price! Don't wait on them - I wear mine year round and with everything. 

I've been awake since 2AM this morning, Just couldn't sleep. I think I was still wired from my amazing weekend. I went to the NC State - Florida State game here in Raleigh. We tailgated, drank beer and couldn't have asked for more perfect weather. It was such a close game and NCSU put up a good fight, but thank gosh we pulled it out in the end. I also wore one of my favorite #BADxGameDay outfits so far. (Here's a sneak peek) Can't wait to share the full look with you!

Summer is officially coming to an end.. but the weather isn't quite ready to cooperate yet. So my go-to as we transition into the next season is a combo of comfy and breezy shirt dresses with booties. I love this style of dress because they can be worn at almost anytime of the year. Pair with super cute sandals for summer or tights and boots for winter. Remember versatility is key to get the most out of your wardrobe!

Thanks for bearing with me during my summer break. Sometimes we all just need a little vacation (from all our jobs) and I needed some time away from the blog to unplug. This sequin clutch from DaisyGem gets so much air-time from my wardrobe it isn't even funny! I wear it out with fancy looks (à la here and here) and with more casual ones like this date night outfit. It originally just came in gold but they recently added pink AND black too! I just might have to add pink to my collection as well.. After all, it does combine my two favorite things in the world, pink & sparkles! I wish this Zara blouse was still available online.. I finally found my perfect white shirt and I can't even share it with you guys.. boo!!!

 

We're almost fully moved into our house and spent our first night there last night. It feels so weird to say "I own a home" I feel like such a grown up! Though we won't have TV or Internet for several days... I told Bill I don't know what the heck I'm going to do without either. Now I don't sound like such a grown up.. sad but true!! There's something about a Navy and Fuchsia color combo that I just love. I think it's the juxtaposition between a dark hue that's not black and the bright pop of pink. It feels so refreshing and fun!

 

What do you guys think of this Graphic Image nylon tote? I'm simply in love with it. I've been on the hunt for an everyday bag to take back and forth from work to home. This bag has been a serious life saver! It fits everything from my laptop to my datebook to my makeup and so much more. Anddddd you probably want to keep an eye out over the next few days... This past weekend was an exciting one but it was Sunday morning that I was actually looking forward to the most. Emily, the gorgeous blogger from Life with Emily hosted a bloggers brunch at my favorite restaurant Coquette Brassiere and I finally had the opportunity to meet some local NC bloggers!

 

In our world, heck in any world, it's beyond important to stay connected with actual face-to-face time! Sometimes it's easy to get behind our twitter feeds and facebook pages that we forget to form real-life, in-the-flesh relationships. I was so happy to meet some lovely ladies who I've been fans of and finally putting a 3-D face to the name.. and.. photos!

 

After getting over the initial nerves and introductions (the bottomless mimosas helped a bit with that) we instantly bonded, sharing our hilarious tales of shooting outfit pictures and how nowadays we meet so many friends online! It was so refreshing to meet some new gals who share the same passions as myself. And, okay... I guess we had to be cliché and take a typical bloggers-with-their handbags group picture:

Blogger Collab: How We Wear Camo

 

I'm teaming up with my sweet friend Ashley for another blogger collaboration! These are getting to be so much fun :) Ash is a fabulous gal inside and out. I had the pleasure of getting to know her through social media and we finally got to meet up and hang out a few days before I left LA. I'm overjoyed that the temps have dropped and I'm able to bust out all my cool weather favorites - including these boots. They've become a complete staple since I won them last year in a giveaway proving to be one of the most comfortable and most fabulous pair of boots I've ever owned.

 

But let's get to the center of this meat-n-potatoes dish, the camo jacket (I swear when I found it, there was a bright white light around it and little babies with wings playing harps and what not) I've been on the hunt for a while and Sunday was my golden ticket. Can I brag just a little bit more? I got it not only on sale but extra % off due to the Columbus Day sale. Holllllaaaaa! I'm going to wear it every which way under the sun and 'till the cows come home (and any other metaphor you can squeeze into my skinny jeans) It also comes in other colors and I'm seriously contemplating the blue color...

 

Shout out to my girl Ashleigh over at Fringe of Beverly Hills in Santa Monica for doing, yet again, a phenom job on the rats nest called my hair. Y'all need to go see her STAT if you'd like to be touched by an ombré genius. I still have a few back posts logged so beware of that scraggly mop that might show up a time or two in the future.
