Outfit Post: Neon Orange & White Skater Dress

I'm still going through Charleston withdrawals from this past weekend's Southern Blog Society conference (or #SBScon as you may have seen floating around the blogsphere) There's something special about that little city. It's charming, beautiful, magical, and let's not forget hot as hell! Hence the crazed half-curled, half-uh-what? hairstyle happening in these photos.

That's okay though. Let's be honest. We all know I like my hair a little did-she-even-wash-or-brush-that-mane look. The first full day of the conference was jam packed with speakers, panels, networking, oh and champagne. Lots of champagne. Of course I had to wear something bright, fun and oh-so-Bedazzles After Dark. As always, The Impeccable Pig swooped in and saved the day with this fabulous neon skater dress.

If it's neon and from TIP, chance are pretty good I'm going to love it. I made this dress daytime wearable with neutral accessories, messy hair and minimal makeup. Just lots of mascara and several swipes of fuchsia lipstick. 

I don't know what it is, but I love the combination of an orange/coral dress with hot pink lipstick. Seem weird at all? Okay good because I don't plan on stopping. It leaves you feeling sassy with a capital Sssss!

You guys, there's so much I wanted to say about #SBScon. It was absolutely amazing. I could seriously go on and on, but more on that later.

SBS NC Meet Up Recap: Kendra Scott Durham

A few weeks ago, Emily & I got to host the Southern Blog Society's NC spring meet up. (You can join here) I've said before, I'll say it again. These ladies are ah-mazing. Even though we don't get together as often as I wish, they are so much fun to be around. I'm so lucky that a few of them have turned into #IRL friends!

The Kendra Scott store in Durham at Streets of Southpoint was so kind and gracious to host us. Logan created a fabulous night for us blogging gals that was complete with a first-peek at the new Via Maya Kendra Scott collection, the best cake pops I've ever tasted, dangerous delicious sangria (I may or may not have had 3.. okay 4 glasses) and some photo booth fun. Check out a few pics from the event and a few of my favorite Kendra Scott pieces that I fell in love with!

Outfit Post: Mixing Camouflage and Stripes

I can't get enough of mixed prints lately. Leopard with Polka Dots, Florals with Ikat, Camo & Stripes.. what once was considered taboo is now totally in. And even though this isn't the most bold mixing I've ever done, I still love the ease and chicness of the combination.

This past weekend was an exciting one but it was Sunday morning that I was actually looking forward to the most. Emily, the gorgeous blogger from Life with Emily hosted a bloggers brunch at my favorite restaurant Coquette Brassiere and I finally had the opportunity to meet some local NC bloggers!

 

In our world, heck in any world, it's beyond important to stay connected with actual face-to-face time! Sometimes it's easy to get behind our twitter feeds and facebook pages that we forget to form real-life, in-the-flesh relationships. I was so happy to meet some lovely ladies who I've been fans of and finally putting a 3-D face to the name.. and.. photos!

 

After getting over the initial nerves and introductions (the bottomless mimosas helped a bit with that) we instantly bonded, sharing our hilarious tales of shooting outfit pictures and how nowadays we meet so many friends online! It was so refreshing to meet some new gals who share the same passions as myself. And, okay... I guess we had to be cliché and take a typical bloggers-with-their handbags group picture:
