I love mixing casual and glam styles together - it's so playful & fun! I racked my brain on how to give this girly Zara frock a fresh look and came up with one of my favorite tricks - a dress worn as a skirt. Instant outfit upgrade! I've been trying to "Shop My Closet" more so I paired it with a fun printed burnout tee and neon belt. Plus, I kind of forgot how much I love these gladiator sandals!

I was also sent a few beauty products from this fabulous line called Motives Cosmetics. That silver polish on my toes is so fab - I'm totally obsessed with it! I'm thinking about shooting a video about these products instead of a usual written post. I've never done one before - how do you guys feel about them?? Would love to know! Happy Hump Day!

I feel so out of wack with this mid-week holiday! I keep thinking today is Tuesday and yesterday was Monday. Thank goodness it's Friday!!

I scored this dress last weekend on clearance for $24! I love the silhouette and drawstring waist - bonus points that it's bright yellow! It's the perfect work-to-play dress and I didn't want to over accessorize. Just needed a major top knot, some fab Mary Jane pumps {from my trusty fav Sole Society} and a tan. Love how easy this look was. What do you guys think? Happy Weekend!! xoxo

 A few weeks ago, I got asked to participate in a piece that a writer was covering for Societe Perrier on "4th of July" fashion. The article isn't out yet, but I wanted to share a few of the outfits not chosen for the feature.

This was my version of celebrating Independence Day "dressed up". Dressing for the 4th doesn't have to be super fancy or going overboard with details. You'll most likely be eating hot dogs, running around with sparklers and just casually enjoying yourself. {At least that's how I usually like to spend my 4ths} If you're doing something a bit nicer, stick to a simple color palette and easy silhouettes.

The Search For The Perfect Hi-Low Skirt

I've been searching high and low (ok... so I couldn't help myself!) for a fabulous hi-low skirt to wear during these spring and summer months. You know the kind - party in the front, business in the back? This asymmetrical choice has been on my mind non-stop and in true BAD form, I'm determined to find a budget friendly piece. I thought I had lucked out with a pleated teal find from Zara, but couldn't bring myself to pay $60 bucks for it.

I'm also not exactly sure what kind to get - there are so many prints and fabrics to choose from? Do I go with a tangerine/coral color because it's "THE" color of the moment or do I stick with a neutral palette. What about prints or lace? What do you lovelies think?  Stay tuned BAD readers... hopefully one of these babies will show up in an outfit post... That is, if I can find one! Happy Tuesday!

Happy Monday lovelies!! This was my Easter outfit from last week that I forgot to post. This dress actually comes with a wide jeweled belt but I wanted to mix a few prints so I tried it with my leopard belt. I also traded out my heels for a pair of super comfy patent flats that I picked up from Target last week.

I'm so excited to finally break out my brand new H&M Floral pants! I wrote about them at the beginning of March and could not wait to track them down. Tey the perfect way to add a burst of energy to your look. Since they hit right at my ankle I wanted to go for a retro-modern vibe. I pinned my hair back and wore my favorite pair of sunglasses (they're pink!) but kept the rest of my look current with layered necklaces and bright blue pumps.

It wasn't until we finished taking the photos that we realized we were actually surrounded by flowers in every shot...! Hope you have a lovely Tuesday! xoxo

Outfit Post: Pretty in Palm Springs Pink

I've mentioned our lovely trips to Palm Springs many times here on BAD. Dana & Steve always open up their home to us when we need to get out of LA for a few days and we're beyond grateful for it! From the pool to the landscaping to the decor, it's one of the most gorgeous spreads I've ever seen - their taste really is impeccable. I thought it would be the perfect backdrop to show off my favorite new dress. So happy I scored this hot pink number - it's super fun and so incredibly me! Continuing my my love affair with candy colors, I chose a contrasting blue crystal bib necklace to pair with my bright frock. Aside from the bold neck piece, I chose basic and neutral accessories. The great thing about Sole Society's Jenny sandals is that I can dress them up with a fun party dress or just throw them on with jeans and tee for a bit of casual glamour. This look has me so excited for spring! Now if the SoCal weather would just cooperate.... Happy Tuesday everyone!

The minute I spotted this peplum skirt I knew I just had to have it. The 1st Zara I went to only had XLs but I struck gold and scored this ruffled beauty while attending the DailyBuzz Style/Madewell event last week. To say I love it would be an understatement. I'm excited for summer to get here so I can wear it with a nice tan! I also continued my obsession enthusiasm for neon with this bright pink cincher from Gap and orange lipstick. Don't you just love the way it pops? I enjoy having fun with my wardrobe and playing with prints, textures and proportions. The above mix is so playful! :) Shout out to my hubby for taking some lovely pictures! Happy Tuesday everyone!
