We're almost to the weekend people! I'm so excited that I don't even care that it's Thursday. This outfit is all about layering (more layering!) for spring. I couldn't celebrate Valentine's Day with my family so I thought this would be a fun and casual outfit to wear while I was visiting them! I've been wanting to test out the chambray-sweater layered look.. what do you guys think? It's a bit more preppy than I usually dress but I thought it was still cutesy!

 

I love this heart print sweater - so happy my mom scored it for a Christmas gift. Have you check out Old Navy lately? They've got some fabulous graphic print sweaters that are SUPER budget friendly. Try layering it with a chambray shirt or printed button down underneath. I saw a floral print at Target that would be fabulous. SO cute!

Outfit Post: A Taste of Fall

Last week we finally experienced a taste of fall. And by a taste I mean, a teeny, tiny, Top-Chef sized amuse bouche that lasted all of 2 days. However, I intended to take full advantage of the crisp weather thinking that maybe if I dressed for fall, it will come.

 

Remember that deal of a century I posted about? Well here they are...! I spotted these gorgeous Etienne Aigner boots while my mom & I were browsing DSW. Riding boots have been on my wish list for a long time. I wanted to invest in a good pair (i.e. drop some coin) but so far nothing was tugging on my heart strings. Until these caught my eye - in the clearance section no less. I zipped them up, looked in the mirror and it was love at first sight.

 

I noticed that the top part of the logo flap on each boot was missing a stud, marking these boots as "damaged". Meaning they were 80% off the already marked down price of $129 (retail price was $189) Meaning I got these boots for $25.80. Oh & did I mention I had a gift card so I technically spent $0 at the store? Did I also mention that my Shoe Guy only charged me 10 whole dollars to attach an almost identically colored stud to either side? I think it's pretty safe to say this was the best $10 I ever spent. Told you they were the deal of the century!

 

Now if only the SoCal temps could stay below 80 degrees so I can enjoy these babies.... If I dress for it... will it come?

Pinspiration: Riding Boots

This hot weather in LA is giving me Cabin Fever! With my wardrobe that is... I'm ready to pull out jeans, scarves, chunky knits, and most importantly - boots! I can't wait to show you guys my deal of a century that I shared last week on Twitter. I'm sure that you can guess from this post that they're a pair of riding boots - I scored them from DSW last week while visiting my family. They're was one teeny tiny thing wrong with them so I'm picking them up tomorrow from my shoe guy. You're seriously going to die when I tell you about them.
