So when this one arrived, and I knew it was going to be way too short to wear without something on the bottom, I thought why not make it a top? Outfit Post: Fancy Boyfriend Jeans

Damn I love a good pair of boyfriend jeans. They're like sweatpants on the inside, but you still look nice enough on the outside to be out in public (or eat lots of Mexican food like I did!) 

I think I like wearing my sweatpants boyfriend jeans fancy, because then I feel like I'm fooling everyone. Like "Yes, this may look like a really cute outfit, but I'm really just here wearing these because they're comfy as hell" Okay, and they're really cute!

When I went to my friends Bachelorette party a few weeks ago, it was hilarious because almost every girl there had a romper to wear the last night. But rompers are just the best, aren't they? About a month ago, I attended Moon & Lola's block party for their new Raleigh store. It was so stinking hot that day which can sometimes put a damper on your outfit. I knew I wanted to stay cool, but still wanted to look cute. Enter the perfect way to "dress up" your cutoffs: A Sequin Crop Top! 

I love the juxtaposition of worn in denim shorts with a little something something fancy. #YesPlease! Gave myself a [Ariana Grande] high pony and slipped on my fav metallic sandals (which are on sale by the way!!) and sparkled in the sun.

If flats aren't your thing, you could always try a fun heel, like these mules, which I plan on doing next time I wear this outfit.

Outfit Post: It's Black & White

A few weeks ago, I got to host The Impeccable Pig Raleigh's birthday party. I've said it once, I'll say it again - this store is beyond fantastic. Not only do they have the cutest styles that are right on trend, but their prices.... right up a normal gal like me's alley! Usually, I find the brightest, most neon item in the store. But this time, I reached for a complete black and white ensemble that felt incredibly chic.

First a big thank you to everyone who came out to the birthday party! It was so much fun to meet all of you!

After I picked out these two separate pieces, the girls at TIP said they wouldn't have thought to put them together, but that they loved it!. And that's why I love what I do. My mind tends to gravitate towards putting together outfits that are unexpected. You might not have ever thought would certain things would work, but when you try it on and wear it with confidence, they totally do. Even though my outfit is black and white, that's not how I tend to think about fashion or getting dressed. I always say it should be fun and experimental - take a risk!
