Outfit Post: Because Culottes Are Cool Again

Last week, I hit my last party of the summer. Since it took place after Labor Day, I figured it was the perfect time to smash that age old rule of "No White After Labor Day." I say, why not wear all white after Labor Day?

It's officially time to kiss summer goodbye. Although we won't say goodbye to warmer daytime temps, the morning and evenings are starting to cool off. Finally! I'm ready for a little bit cooler weather. My outfit idea during this transitional time? A culotte jumpsuit!

Remember when culottes were.. well cool? They're finally back in style! And if you didn't think you could wear them heading into fall, think again. Why not throw a blazer or light sweater over top for nighttime? Swap out your sandals for pumps and you've got a perfect "beginning of fall" going out look! 

I adore this culotte one piece from Missguided. My white option is sold out, but here's the exact same style in olive - talk about a spot on color for fall! (note: Missguided runs about 1 size small compared to US sizing.)

Outfit Post: Sequin Crop Top & Cutoffs

About a month ago, I attended Moon & Lola's block party for their new Raleigh store. It was so stinking hot that day which can sometimes put a damper on your outfit. I knew I wanted to stay cool, but still wanted to look cute. Enter the perfect way to "dress up" your cutoffs: A Sequin Crop Top! 

I love the juxtaposition of worn in denim shorts with a little something something fancy. #YesPlease! Gave myself a [Ariana Grande] high pony and slipped on my fav metallic sandals (which are on sale by the way!!) and sparkled in the sun.

If flats aren't your thing, you could always try a fun heel, like these mules, which I plan on doing next time I wear this outfit.

Moon And Lola Cameron Village Store Opening

A few weeks ago, Moon And Lola invited me to their media preview night before they opened their doors to the public. If there's one thing I love, it's an excuse to put on a party dress, sip cocktails and buy pretty jewelry. 

The new store is absolutely beautiful. It's filled with all things girly, shiny, sparkly and of course... PINK! I love it! The girls at M&L really outdid themselves. The "Lola Loves" room (above) has to be my favorite part. Everything that owner Kelly (a.k.a. Lola) is currently obsessed with will be housed in here. I'm officially using it as inspiration for my new home office.

Game Day Outfit: Garnet and Gold Glam

There's nothing I love more than a good Florida State gameday outfit. But what's even better than that? A gameday blogger collaboration with my girl Danielle over at Lou What Wear!

You'll remember last year we each styled a baseball cap for the Florida State vs. Miami game. That challenge was a step out of my comfort zone, but so much fun to do. I think they question you should be asking regarding daytime sequins is: Why Not? They're slightly unexpected, a whole lot of fun and bump any casual outfit just up a notch or two. I wore this to work and everyone loved it.

This outfit is a little bit late... okay it's a lot-a-bit late considering I instagrammed it on September 30th. But we'll just overlook that fact... hey it's been a busy couple of weeks #IRL. My job is amazing and I absolutely love it. But since going back to work full time, I haven't been able to devote as much time to BAD as I did before. But we're still chugging along so I hope you'll come back for more outfits and inspiration.
