Blogger Collab: Ankle Booties for Fall

The weather hasn't exactly been cooperating with the calendar lately so my compromise right now are ankle booties with shorts and skirts. I think these shorter boots are a fabulous way to transition your spring/summer clothes well into fall. Even adding tights underneath dresses and shorts can help push those pieces into other seasons. Plus I think we're all aware of my bootie obsession. I just can't help it - they go with everything! What about you.. how are you sporting your ankle boots as of late? 

 

We head back to Raleigh on the red eye tonight. Boo-hoo. We've seriously had the best time here in LA. I've been a bit absent on social media and to be honest - it's been really nice to just hit all our favorite spots, old hangouts and spend some quality time with friends Maybe I can make us miss our flight and we'll just have to stay an extra day. Okay could someone please tell Mother Nature that we are in the middle of summer?! It's done nothing but rain here in Raleigh for the last 6 weeks! We snuck away to the beach last week and had perfect weather, but ever since we got back it's been back-to-back thunderstorms. I missed the rain in L.A. but not enough to garner this much water!

Thankfully it stopped storming for 2.5 seconds yesterday so we could snap these photos of my summer uniform. Basically from May through September I live in cutoff shorts. My favorite ones are usually my DIY ones but these Miss Me neon babies are quickly climbing the charts! Of course I love them because they're neon, but they're actually super comfy. They have a little bit of stretch to them which gives them a total "lived in" feeling. Plus they have cute crystal details on the pockets - which means my daily dose of sparkle is taken care of!

I've been wanting to take the plunge with Crop Tops but so far haven't fallen in love with anything. So instead I'm testing out the colored bandeau with open back style. Isn't this bralette super cute?! I got it during the Victoria's Secret semi-annual sale. Love it!
