It's been a long and crazy month of April. Work, Life, Weather, and everything in between. I am kind of ready for a vacation but have nothing planned as of yet. Do you have any upcoming trips?

How fabulous are these clear frames from Zero UV?!? They were part of my LuckyFABB giftbag and while everyone else received sunglasses, I got lucky and scored these vintage style frames. I have been wearing them non-stop which is slightly ridiculous since I have contacts. But either way I REALLY love them. I also didn't realize this until after I shot this outfit... but let's do a little version of who wore it best?

 

I remember seeing this outfit on Zoe Saldana last year and I must have subconsciously channeled it while I was getting dressed. But let's be real.. ZS is a goddess and anyone is 2nd best next to her! Shop my outfit below!

I'm way behind on outfit posts but sharing is still caring right?

There's something about a black and white outfit that just makes me want to add a pop of color. This Lime clutch from GiGi New York's spring collection was the perfect choice. I guess you can't take the love for neon out of me.. I wore this a friend's engagement party a few weeks ago and everyone went bananas for my shoes! This week brings a transition from one job to another. While I am so grateful for all my opportunities, I am super excited about this new adventure I'm about to venture out on. It's in the realm of fashion/style right here in the Triangle. I can't wait to share more details about it!! You know that moment when you feel like you've finally hit your stride again? Well I don't quite have that feeling just yet.. but I am super excited about the direction our lives are taking. I think we've finally got our feet back on the ground, the dust is almost settled and I have [mostly] accepted that we are in NC.

 

I had lots of mini-dates, lunches and cocktails with new ladies last week and a shopping trip with my mom really prompted my change in attitude. My husband also went on a boys trip this weekend which allowed me to finally get my closet organized - I'll have to share some pics with you guys! I know that it will still take some time (we've only been here for 2 months!) but it's nice to be on the other side of the spectrum.. even if not towards the end yet :)

 

Speaking of mini-dates this is one of my outfits from lunch last week. It's like 90 plus degrees here but I still can't let go of my ankle booties. They're my freaking favorite and no amount of heat can stop me from wearing them. I'm practically living in the ankle boots and shorts combo. Do you have a crazy ridiculous favorite thing you wear not matter the weather? Come on and share.. don't make me feel alone! Happy Monday!

Okay could someone please tell Mother Nature that we are in the middle of summer?! It's done nothing but rain here in Raleigh for the last 6 weeks! We snuck away to the beach last week and had perfect weather, but ever since we got back it's been back-to-back thunderstorms. I missed the rain in L.A. but not enough to garner this much water!

Thankfully it stopped storming for 2.5 seconds yesterday so we could snap these photos of my summer uniform. Basically from May through September I live in cutoff shorts. My favorite ones are usually my DIY ones but these Miss Me neon babies are quickly climbing the charts! Of course I love them because they're neon, but they're actually super comfy. They have a little bit of stretch to them which gives them a total "lived in" feeling. Plus they have cute crystal details on the pockets - which means my daily dose of sparkle is taken care of!

I've been wanting to take the plunge with Crop Tops but so far haven't fallen in love with anything. So instead I'm testing out the colored bandeau with open back style. Isn't this bralette super cute?! I got it during the Victoria's Secret semi-annual sale. Love it!

Any excuse to wear this skirt is a good one in my book. I love that I can pair it with heels for a night out or go casual with flats and a cotton tank. It's so important when adding a piece to your closet, especially when you're on a budget, that you can make it as versatile as possible. This way you get the most wear out of it and get your money's worth.

 

This time I paired it with a super fun printed tank and my favorite headband. I love that they both give this whole outfit a boho-glam vibe. I wore it to a super fun dinner in downtown Durham with Bill's new bosses. Plus the stretchy waist allowed me to eat

 

Did you guys have a great 4th? I spent the week at the beach with my family - it was a much needed reboot session that involved good food and lots of sun. Sometimes you just need to recharge! Happy Monday everyone! xo
