Game Day Outfit: Reader Edition

I'm REALLY excited to share today's post with you guys! A few weeks ago, on my Facebook page, I asked you guys to submit your Game Day outfits. As you know, I share mine with you each week during football season, but I wanted to see how you support your favorite team! Whether it's Pro or College.. MLB or NBA.. stylish gals who love sports are a breed of their own. One I'm proud to be a part of! So here are a few ladies who wanted to share their Game Day pride with you...

Ashley of Pursuit of Shoes is a die-hard USC fan. I love how she styles this with the perfect mix of casual and dressy. The sweatshirt with a nice pair of shorts is brilliant! Oh and spy anything familiar? How about those phenom shades I picked up from Nordstrom this summer!

Talk about fabulous!! Mia went totally glam (which I LOVE) when she attended the UNC game this weekend. How fantastic is that Ram necklace? I'm obsessed. And she did my ultimate favorite styling trick - a jean jacket works for almost any outfit fancy or not. LOVE it Mia!! Check her out at Ms Mia Maree

You guys already know Chelsea from our guest posting on each other's blogs. But let's discuss her dedication to being a VT fan. Did you know that she enlisted the help of the Hokie mascot to announce her gender reveal when she was preggo?! True story... I LOVE those heels too.. talk about a fashionista sport lover! My girl Danielle from Lou What Wear knows what's up. A fellow beer lover and sports obsessed woman, she keeps her look easy and breezy. A gorgeous pair of UK colored necklaces are all she needs to prove she's part of #BBN. P.S. Can I just say how amazing her hair always looks? Go Cats!

How stinking cute is Lauren?! Her blog Almost Casual makes me drool on a daily basis (I guess I should say she makes A TON of recipes and posts them on her site) but I love seeing bits of her style too! She cheers on the Wolfpack in perfect fall style with her cable knit sweater and tall boots. I love her braid too - She said she needs to be beer pong ready at the drop of a hat! Love it Lauren!

Elizabeth over at Mz Savvy Style is last but certainly not least! She's a girl after my own heart, wearing a fabulous (and comfy!) pair of boyfriend jeans! I love that she paired it with a graphic Georgia Bulldogs tee and a fantastic pair of plaid tartan pumps!! Who would have thought plaid could be so game day chic!

Are you ready for some football?!? I know I sure am!! College {and Pro!} football has finally arrived! It seriously feels like a lifetime has passed since last season, but last night was practically Christmas Morning officially kicking off the year.

 

And thus, another season of BAD x Game Day has begun! All season long I'll be showing you how I rock my alma mater's colors and style - Florida State Seminoles (insert tomahawk chop) Gone are the days of oversize jerseys and icky old screened white tees. So many boutiques and stores are offering super cute game day looks so there really is no excuse why you can't look fab while cheering on your favorite team.

 

So when L.Mae Boutique contacted me about showing off my FSU Game Day looks, I couldn't be more thrilled! They have a ton of options no matter your style or school's colors. I was instantly drawn to this Garnet shirt dress because I knew it would be so comfy and easy to transition as we go from summer into fall. I can't wait to add some tights and boots as the cooler temps come our way. A few of my other favorite Florida State looks are this tribal print dress (with a gold belt), this ruffled mustard skirt and I'm uhhhbsessing over this bell sleeve tunic - so fabulous!

To make my look even more Seminole worthy, I added my favorite Metallic Gold pom pom pin from ban.do. P.S. they have a bazillion colors AND offer it in a mini form so get over there ASAP and order some.

Colored Tights are one of my favorite accessories for fall/winter. It's such an inexpensive way to add a pop of fun to any look - I usually buy mine from Target or Kohl's and they last me several seasons.

 

But, I don't know why I didn't think of colored tights for a Game Day Outfit! What an easy peasy way to dress in your team's colors! Just imagine how fab you'd look in a gray dress and blue tights if you're colors are Blue & White. Or a black skirt & top with red tights? Super cutesy right?! Plus it's universally flattering for anyone!

 

Since mustard & oxblood Garnet & Gold are one of the hottest pairings right now, it was only fitting for an FSU Game Day. This dress from Twelve Saturdays has been in heavy rotation in my wardrobe right now - and not just because it's gold ;) I love the ruffle detail, the length and the longer sleeves. I'm realizing that I need more dresses with long sleeves! They're a fab transition piece for in between temps.

We've got a big game coming up and I just had to share my latest game day outfit inspired by Fall! This is one of my favorite dresses from Twelve Saturdays - mostly because it's so versatile. It was a summer staple in my wardrobe but now I'm thinking up ways to transition into the cooler months. Enter the ever faithful chambray shirt & riding boot! I wrapped the arrow-leaf belt around my waist for just the right amount of Game Day flair - but could easily work for any alma mater with a pop of your school's color in a belt, sweater, top, brooch etc!

 

Can we also talk about the amazing metallic & glitter happening near my shoulder? The metallic pom pom flower from ban.do's Holiday line (blogged about here) is the perfect Florida State Gold accessory. I couldn't resist Last month, I discovered an awesome Etsy shop, called Team Time, run by a super sweet gal named Janelle. She hand makes everything in her store and will even do special orders for your local team! You guys have got to check her out - I just love this new headband she added recently.

It seems that striped sequin skirt I wore in the last Game Day post was super popular! So I wanted to show that there's a solid version too. I'm never one to shy away from sequins but I did want to keep this look semi casual. Enter my awesome moto boots and a basic tank. I spotted this gold foil tank at target a few weeks ago and knew it would the perfect FSU option - Garnet & Gold forever!

I'm a HUGE Florida State fan. Massive even. So I'm super pumped to tell you about my new favorite shop that I stumbled upon through a friend.

 

You see, I have tons of FSU garb - a lot of tiny tanks and white logo tees - mostly picked up from Bill's Bookstore or the Garnet & Gold shop near Doak. I wore them with my jean cutoff shorts/skirts - stuff I really wouldn't mind spilling drinks beer on while tailgating. Now that I'm wiser (ha!) and more sophisticated (double ha!) I've been on the hunt for much cuter pieces. Enter Twelve Saturdays.

 

Liz is AH-mazing. The name alone of her online store is GENIUS. She's collected tons of stylish and modern "Game Day" wear that will totally up the ante for your Saturday School Pride. Super lovely dresses, sequin skirts, flowered belts - you want it, she's got it. So when she wanted to work with BAD and style some cute Game Day looks I was beyond excited. For this look, I took pieces I already owned to put together an easy, simple and fabulous Seminole outfit. Liz even has this skirt in a few other colors (Okay fine... including Gator orange/blue)

 

My favorite part about Liz's shop is that she offers her pieces in tons of colors so you're bound to find a matching item for your alma mater or favorite school. You can shop by school and even though it's mostly done by southern options right now, think outside the box! Red can translate to Louisville or Ohio State. Her UK options could also work for Kansas and aren't orange & blue Boise State's colors too? Gold dresses can show your USC pride while Auburn & Illinois have similar colors. You really can't go wrong.
