Lusting After: ban.do Black Label

Happy Wednesday loves! Let's beat the mid-week blues by chatting about the latest addition to my wish list... ban.do's black label! You'll remember that ban.do is one of the reasons I started BAD after I blogged for them during the 2009 holiday season.

The thing I adore about ban.do is the fact that they offer budget friendly accessories (like sequined hearts for $15 and fun corsages under $75) as well as specialty one-of-a-kind pieces. Their black label is filled with lots of sparkle, tulle, veils, poms and anything super girly that you can think of.

While past collections have included vintage inspired pieces (last year's was a total homage to Joan from Mad Men) this time they wanted a more rock-n-roll vibe that's totally fresh and playful. I've been dreaming about this Cambridge neon satchel for weeks months. The lite bright bag isn't too incredibly expensive at $215, but I still wasn't sure if I wanted to drop that kind of cash on such a trendy item. Enter this fabulous find: Target's Neon Yellow Satchel for $25! I had been eyeing it for a while and finally decided to purchase it last week. SO happy that I did - I've gotten nothing but compliments on it since I started carrying it! My favorite part about this crossbody bag , other than the fact that it's NEON and adds an instant pop of color, is that it's so incredibly functional. I can stuff anything (including bags of Starbursts) and still have room to spare. I took it for a spin on our Saturday Date Night with a simple black maxi and tons of arm swag. It's time for another edition of Bloggers Do It Better! I skipped the last one because I had already done a maxi post since I already selected my hot pink maxi skirt for the Neons & Neutrals post. I wasn't about to miss the latest one! This week was more of a mini-challenge instead of an actual full outfit post. But it's one of my favorite "excess"ory choices right now - A Stacked Arm. If you're a blogger, blog comb-er or magazine reader you know just how major this trend is right now. I personally love it and my theory is "If someone doesn't ask you about your arm full of bangles - you don't have enough" :) So here are my latest picks for the Arm Party challenge:

Steal Her Look For Less: Hot Pink Clutch

  

Celebrities everywhere have been punching up their spring and summer looks with a fabulous accessory choice: A Hot Pink Clutch. Since it's pretty well known that I love anything pink - I am super excited about trying this trend out. With color all the rage for the past few seasons you can pair this handbag with ANY outfit and it would look amazing. I've got some celebrity choices to give you a few pointers and of course some affordable options for you to try!

Two of my style icons, Diane Kruger and Olivia Palermo, definitely proved that pink and other colors are a must combo. While Diane paired hers with a lace Vionnet dress for a Paris celebration, Olivia went bright color blocking with her tangerine Victoria Beckham dress (look familiar?) The color just pops on both outfits! Glee's resident germ-a-phob counselor Jayma Mays paired her Rebecca Minkoff clutch with a striped sparkling Reem Acra cocktail dress showing that hot pink is totally appropriate for a formal function. Try it at your next summer wedding! And finally one look I can't wait to try - Hot Pink with Neutrals (well I guess I already tried this!) Actress Michelle Monaghan let her handbag shine while attending a dinner in honor of Tory Burch. She paired the designer's Quinn dress with nude Christian Louboutin pumps and fuss free curly hair. All around love.

Here are some options for you to try! For more ideas I'd pair one of the textured clutches with a plain LBD or LWD. I've got tons of weddings and showers to go to this summer/fall.
